We visited in 2011 and enjoyed it so once we were in the area again we chose to stay here. Excellent service again. And still sooooo quiet! I have marked the firness centre below by mistake but there is NO fitness centre unless you coubt the outdoors! :)
We spent few days alla Masseria del Feudo where we had an excellent time. We were welcomed by Signora Angela and her son and both were great hosts providing an incredible Breakfast (all home made) and service. The place remains simple but provided a quiet environment in the countryside of Sicily.
I stayed in this lodging in middle October, 2012. I found this rural place with the help of my gps, but new road construction in the area made it a real challenge to find. It is far out from any towns or cities, in a large valley of fruit trees, vineyards, etc. This is a very large, working farm that has a winery, dairy, beef cattle, and a large variety of fruit trees, including pomegranates, and even a small chapel. The lodging seems to be almost an afterthought, contained in a separate building. I had a room upstairs that was well equipped and very comfortable, with a nice little terrace. There was no air conditioning, but in the evening I opened the terrace doors, closed the thin curtains and let the evening breeze cool things down. A woman came in the next morning to prepare a nice continental breakfast. I was the only guest that night. Once the workers leave in the evening, the only human in the place besides me was a watchman who did his rounds. It couldn’t have been more pleasant. The room rate is on the steep side, but I’d return here for certain if and when I return to Sicily.…
Needed accomdations for a few nights in the San Cataldo area while conducting some genealogical research. Since I could find no reviews on Masseria del Feudo, I was a little hesitant to stay here but am I glad that we did. We couldn’t have been more pleased with this choice. The staff, headed by Francesco, were all wonderful individuals and that includes his parents and Angela, who prepared delightful breakfasts, that featured fresh milk from their own cows. The room was comfortable and clean and it included an anteroom where you could store your luggage (it also had a small refrigerator). The bathroom was modern. The grounds were lovely and I only wish we were here later in the spring to take advantage of the spectacular scenery. Without hesitation, I would heartedly recommend a stay at this agriturismo.…
the place is in the middle of nowhere but if you want peace and quiet, it is ideal! breakfast was excellent. rooms were very comfortable, with a small TV in each bedroom. no wireless at the time because there was a problem with reception. our room was on the first floor, which was a bummer when carrying suitcases, but other than that, we've got no complaints. their olive oil is fantastic! :-)
