Wow - the warmest welcome by Andre and his family on our late evening arrival to the Gourmet Hotel Gran Ander. Gourmet is the key word, the food is outstanding the website and reviews doesn't do it justice. Each night there was a 6/7 course menu in the highly finished dining area with views over the mountains and an extensive...

Stayed here only for 2 nights in January in a standard room with half board. The room looked a bit tired, but the dining/breakfast room was pleasant, light, modern and with a great view. The biggest asset is the owner/chef Andre. Prepares wonderful food and is very ambitious. Is interested in colleagues with Michelin ratings. His wife and mother are...

I was lucky enough to stay here before and after an eight day guided walk in the surrounding Dolomites. Gran Ander is a partner hotel of Holimites, a local guiding company who took care of all my travel plans. The food is outstanding, a class above any other hotel I've stayed in the entire European alps. The family ambiance here...

We stayed here both before and after a trail running trip we took through the Dolomites. The hotel is absolutely first class - rooms are a good size, bathroom is very large and the food, well, the food is simply outstanding. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone traveling in and around Badia.

Anders, his family and staff really make you fell welcomed! Food is excellent, hotel has a spa with a whirlpool, sauna, and deck with lounge chairs that overlooks the mountains. Rooms are small but you spend very little time in the room when you are hiking and doing various activities. Anders is a part (1/3) owner of Holomites which can...

We spent a week skiing in the Dolomites mid february, and stayed at this cosy, family run hotel. Here is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home, all the staff is very helpful. The rooms are spacey, with a terrific view of the mountains. The rich breakfast gets you ready for a day skiing, and the gourmet dinner is very...

I have traveled a lot in both business and pleasure over my lifetime and I can honestly say that this is one of the top five places I have stayed in the world. This Hotel is family owned and operated and you feel like you part of the family once you walk through the front door. Its still one of...

I stayed at the Gran Ander whilst trail running with Holimites.com. It is a family run hotel, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic and the sauna/fitness area is something else - water beds, whirlpool, steam room, two different saunas, all overlooking some breathtaking views. Can't recommend this place enough.

The Badia valley is one of the Ladin speaking valleys in South Tyrol. This is a very unusual area in many ways. First of all, South Tyrol is an autonomous region of Italy that is largely German rather than Italian speaking. Within that area there are a few valleys that speak a Romance language which is probably a direct descendent...

We stayed here after finishing a 5 day trek....this was one of the best places we stayed in Europe during our 5 weeks of travel. The room was very comfortable for our family of 4 and the spa downstairs was amazing with a hot tub view of the surrounding area. The food served was excellent with very nice service. The...

“You may prefer rooms facing away from the main valley (Val Badia). Although the hotel is quite far from the main road (several hundred meters), noise can carry in mountain valleys so if you find hearing distant traffic sounds irritating (as I do), ask for a room facing the mountain rather than the valley. We were facing the mountain and there was no noise at all.”

“If you looking for a relaxing hotel where the owners make you feel home, than this is the place. Eventhough little bit outside the Alta Badia five main towns, there are regular busses, which will take you anywhere.”
