Well located hotel facing the sea! We booked a room facing the sea, simple but very clean... structure a bit 'old but equipped with the main services. Free parking, breakfast buffet included (a bit limited) but satisfactory; very friendly and professional staff! A downside is the too much noise, both from the street and inside the hotel, it seemed to have cardboard walls...all in all a pleasant stay!

Nice experience. It was the first time we went to Anzio for the sea and I must say that it deserves a lot. The hotel fully met expectations. Friendly and always helpful staff, great breakfast, fresh lunch and excellent quality. Perfect location to enjoy the sea in complete relaxation. Within walking distance there are some very good restaurants that are worth trying. With a walk you reach the caves of Nero and the Imperial Villa.

Stayed here for the last leg of our trip after visiting Rome ,Venice and cruising for a week.Booked private shuttle to FCO for the flight home. Its about an hour transfer @ 125 Euro for 4 people 4 large 4 med pieces of luggage.
Anzio is a beautiful "Quiet" seaside town. The hotel is an older traditional hotel with all the necessary amenities. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfy and clean, ask for the rooms at the front overlooking the sea with nice balconies 110,112 a little more $$
I highly doubt the reference to fraud more like a language issue or misunderstanding. The family that owns the beach bar and the hotel have no need to fleece their customers.
Take the opportunity to visit the water front beach bar it's right across the street.Chairs and umbrellas to rent typical European practice approx 12-15 euro per.Food and booze at beach bar are cheap.Staff very polite and accommodating.Beach jockey could of smiled a bit more but he worked hard at keeping everyone happy.Book chairs and umbrella at beach bar the hotel will provide discount coupon for hotel patrons.
Take a cab to town ask the hotel for Stefano he speaks English and is very accommodating you can take his recommendation(we did the first time and it was excellent)or just get out in town at the harbourfront restaurants.Cab ride for two couples return 20 euro you could walk but it's at least 1/2 hour to walk.Restaurants were excellent and numerous to choose from. While strolling the water front you can ask for a menu and make your choice of fresh seafood or Italian fare. The later you go the more people you will have to deal with in typical European style these folks eat late and enjoy the night on the water.
Being a WW11 landing for the Allies don't miss the Commonwealth and Beachhead Memorials very humbling experience to visit the cemeteries anytime, anywhere 'Lest we Forget'

The staff is friendly and the entrance to the room gives a good impression.
The surprises, however, come later, the thermostat of the air conditioning is destroyed, the filters so dirty as to prevent the passage of air, the old-fashioned bathroom with very small shower cabin, dirty and malfunctioning.
The shower head, although large, is totally clogged by limestone so that the water does not come down but comes out of the gasket.
The price seemed really exaggerated for the category.
The advantage is only the location on the seafront of Anzio, although not in the best area.

We bagged a bargain here. Booked 10 days in May 2015 (7th - 17th) for £325 inc breakfast. We have been to Anzio before, staying at the Hotel Dei Cesari which was not friendly at all!

We were the only long stay guests at the hotel as the season doesn't start until June. We had amazing weather 29c and the pool to ourselves!

Anzio is a quiet fishing port, not many tourists and the ones who are, tend to be Italians taking a break from Rome which is only an hour away on the train.

Staff couldn't do enough for us and at the end of the holiday they rounded 'down' the bill.........imagine that in the UK!

Lots of places to eat, takeaways and bars/cafe's but not the place for an action packed holiday, it's a chill out zone, brilliant.

We tended to buy lunch from the local supermarket and make it ourselves, spent so little during this break. We ate out in the evening and found the BEST little pizza place selling the BEST pizza we have ever eaten. It's situated just behind the hotel, called 'Mangiapizza'

All the locals were so welcoming and waved as we went by their various outlets.

We visited the CWWG & the beach head museum (WW11) which is a short walk from the hotel. Went to Rome for the day, wouldn't do that again. Rome has changed so much since we were last there, touts, beggars and REALLY expensive

Saturday sees a little market in the town centre. Ice cream is a must, amazing. Coffee for two tended to cost around 3 euros, meal's out around £30 euros, including a bottle of wine

If you are looking for a really relaxing break with the pool and beach a step away, this is the ideal place.

Loved it

We had a 2 week drive vacation through southern Italy and needed a place fairly close to Rome for a 1pm flight departure. I chose Hotel Lido Garda mainly for its proximity to Rome but what a wonderful surprise! We arrived around 5pm after driving up from Sorrento and stopping in Pompeii and a quick drive tour of Naples. We had room 66 which is top floor on the southern end of the building. A typical Italy room but very nicely done for the price (ie: $85 euro vs $250 euro we had been paying along the Almalfi Coast). Basically a lovely beach town where many Italian families and young people come to vacation. We took a walk along the beach after spending a few hours at the pool (lovely). The Italians definitely know how to have fun on a Sunday evening. All ages mingled, danced, played volleyball, swam and prepared bonfires and campsites along the beach. Interesting that they cook their evening meal in large foil bags which contain different types of meats in the bottom of these fire pits. A walk back along the beach after dark up at the road showed over a hundred of these campfires dotting the beach which made for a great memory.

The room was very clean and after returning from our first beach walk, we had a knock at the door. What a surprise to receive a silver tray with a bottle of very nice Champagne to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with! We enjoyed our Champagne while watching the sunset from out balcony. We then took our after dark stroll and ended back at the Italian "Chinese" Restaurant right next door to the hotel. We had a wonderful 4 courses plus Peroni beer and water for under 20 Euro. Breakfast the next morning was probably the best breakfast we had on the entire 2 week trip. Eggs, bacon, vienna sausage (but nicely cooked!), pastry, fresh squeezed juices (only hotel to offer this), cereal, coffees and tea. All wonderful. Staff was fantastic and gave great directions to highway and suggestions for time of departure. They also offered to have a breakfast ready if we needed to leave before their 7:30 am start time. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to get away from the typical tourist crowds and explore a small Italian beach town - especially nice in busy month of August

Bear in mind, we loved the private beach, the pool, the breakfast and the helpfulness of day time staff. We even didn't much mind the room, which did not seem the cleanest. What really threw us off was the old man behind the reception desk at night, who claimed we needed to pay more than owed. At the time we didn't notice but this kind of unprofessional, deceptive behavior does not only do the hotel name damage, it also exacerbates the stereotype of the unreliable, untrustworthy Italian.

Stayed in this hotel for one night in july 2010 with my boyfriend and some of our best friends. Its located a short walk from the trainstation. The staff was very helpfull during our entire stay. Good breakfast. We got a large room which was clean and had a terrace. Very vlose to the free beach and the hotel was helpful with towels. We would recomend this hotel if you want to stay close to the beach and enjoy the sun :) Took us about 5 minutes with a cab to the city centre.
