Villa la Favorita was our first destination during a 20 day gastronomic tour of northern Italy. It came highly recommended by a good friend of one of our travelling companions and it did not disappoint. Owner Roberta and her daughter Michela were so welcoming and helpful upon arrival and during our 3 day stay. Their storybook B&B is located just...

We were so happy to stay in Villa la Favorita. Thank you so much for. Here you really feel like staying at home. Best were the fresh fruits in the garden and the great breakfast. We never had something like this. Great tips for trips from the Landlady. Perfect time. Thank you very much!! Arno

Roberta the owner is lovely, she and her staff are very welcoming and puts one at ease quickly. Knowledgeable about the area she's ready to give you tips about where to visit and eat etc. Elegantly and tastefully furnished, you'll enjoy your stay here and the breakfasts were very good, using home-grown produce. A really nice place to hang out...

We stayed 4 nights at the Villa and enjoyed ourselves on the terraces mornings and evenings. The breakfasts were the best of our 1 month trip. The location allowed us access by car to hilltop town restaurants and wineries. Roberta, the owner was very helpful and informative. She arranged reservations for us prior to arriving. We really appreciated her hospitality....

Villa La Favorita is exceptional. Roberta, who owns it, bought it the early 90s when it was a nigh-on derelict farmhouse. Down the years, she has spent a great deal of time and money and even more love and energy: today, she has an exceedingly-elegant B&B. I’m sure that there are many fine B&Bs in the region, but there’s only...

Roberta goes out of her way to make visitors feel at home, and is extremely helpful with other travel plans. The villa itself is lovely, I picked ripe cherries off the tree, and the breakfasts that come with the room are out of this world. This is like being at an AgriTourismo villa, yet still close to town. My 3...

Absolutely loved our 3 days here in April! It was the perfect place to stay while exploring the Piemonte Region. Within walking distance of the beautiful city of Alba (way nicer than Asti) and easy access to the fabulous towns of Barolo, La Morra, Bra, etc. Roberta made us feel very welcome almost like old friends. We sat out one...

Our group of 8 recently stayed for 4 nights at Villa la Favorita. Favorite of mine indeed. My husband and I stayed here in 2007 with another group of friends and we just had to return. Now in 2014 not much has changed, I would say Roberta and her staff are better than ever. Upon our arrival we were greeted...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dating back to the early 1900's, it is officially recognized as a historic residence, and has been meticulously refurbished in recent years. Set amidst a 10,000 m² estate of vineyards and fruit orchards, it is located on a hillside just 1 1/2 kms outside Alba. The farm produces fine doc-status wines - Nebbiolo d'Alba and Grignolino Piemonte - which can be tasted free-of-charge, as well as a large variety of organically-grown fruit (cherries, apples, pears, apricots, plums, persimmons, figs, mulberries, peaches and pomegranates), some of which are used to make delicious jams. The villa's four highly original, en-suite bedrooms are tastefully furnished with period family pieces, and have satellite TV, air-conditioning, bath with shower and hair-dryer.Each "room with a view" brings guests into close contact with the hills. And the towers and roofs of ALBA's old town centre.Every morning a plentiful breakfast offering a wide choice is served outdoors in the large garden, on the terrace or in the bright lemon-house.Alba is a lively town, standing at the feet of the celebrated "Langhe" hills. It is famous for its mediaeval towers, "Via Maestra" (the main street, animated by plenty of shops and a busy Saturday morning market), and cultural and food & wine events. ... more   less
