I had a great stay at the rustic Casa Fabbrini last summer. It is a very nice location in the centre of historic Abbadia. Totally recommendable for everyone who is looking for a true-italian experience, off the beaten track. In Abbadia for work, my client booked me in this family run hotel. Surviving a difficult and long car ride in a snow storm, I was kindly welcomed by the owner and quickly assigned a spacious and "warm" double room on the third floor (with elevator). We visited Abbadia San Salvatore a few days ago to see the abbey crypt and the medieval quarter. The town was extremely quiet and we had difficulty in finding anywhere to have lunch. I always had good memories of Fabbrini especially the mushroom soup at dinner. Roberto spoke very good English and made booking the reservation easy he was very accommodating and as I increased our room allocation assisted organising the rooms.
