We were very warmly met on our arrival by Pero, the friendly, knowledgeable owner of Residences Island View. He took us to the patio of his house to meet his family and offered us beers and wine as we sat down to hear about the local area. He gave us plenty of tips for parking, eating, avoiding the cruise ships, supermarkets and places to visit. Whilst helping us with our luggage, Pero then showed us to our room. A beautifully clean space with a lounge and kitchen-diner, separate bathroom and bedroom. The room smelt lovely and had toiletries, washing up liquid and plenty of towels. There was also a bottle of cherry liqueur which was a recipe of (I think I'm right in saying) Pero's Grandfather-in-law. Each morning there were fresh cakes/bakes left outside our room. One day there was also a bottle of wine for us, which was beautiful. The view of the sea from the room was stunning, especially when we sat out on the patio and watched the sunset one evening. I hope to return to Dubrovnik in the future and would 100% stay here again. It's about 15 minutes from Dubrovnik and perfect for escaping from the tourist hotspots.…
The view, from our apartment was sublime. We stayed for a week and our hosts could not do enough for us. This is a superb place to stay, in a wonderful little village. I can't speak too highly of the area. The beach at 6am? Why not. Eat in the local restaurant? Table booked. Sorted. We absolutely loved it. 😊
A cozy and chic flat with everything you want during the holidays, a great view the whole day; in a calm neighborhood; two beaches accessible by short walk; very friendly host-family; highly recommended
We have just returned from a weeks stay where we had a lovely apartment which was comfortable and spacious with stunning views. Doris and Peter were wonderful hosts who wanted to ensure that you had a great time and yes, there were lovely treats to eat and drink! We hired a car and found the location perfect for touring this beautiful coast - the Peljesac Peninsula as far as Orebic and across to Korcula (for the brave would recommend a taxi boat). Along the way Ston and Slano are just two of many places to visit. Pretty Zaton is 10 mins by car and has lovely restaurants and you can also arrange boat trips from there. We appreciated having Doris and Peter there for advice and local knowledge, especially parking in Dubrovnik! We would definitely stay there again.
The apartment was fully equipped, modern spacious and clean. The view from the patio was amazing. Pero and Doris the hosts were very friendly and welcomed us as though we were family. Pero informed us of the places of interest to visit and the local amenities. I had read of the daily pastries that had been left and was not disappointed. A welcome gift of home made grappa was awaiting our arrival. Delicious.. Another evening a caraf of wine. Beach towels were offered.. A lift to the supermarket was offered. Thoroughly recommended. A bakery at the bottom of the hill served delicious offerings including pizza. About 5 minutes walk up the hill a delightful family run restaurant Savonari. The food was amazing. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill to Dubrovnik Old Town. An uphill climb from the bustop up the steps ensure the hamstrings are well exercised. Would definitely stay again.…
