As another reviewer mentioned, met with locked/automatic gates, but once the proprietor aware of our arrival gates swung open and we were met by a very helpful and friendly man who spoke excellent English. The room was huge and clean if a little quirky! We stayed in the Out of Africa suite and yes, the 'fur' is faux therefore necessitating... More

The Manoir is easy to find on the road between Cabourg and le Home-Varaville. There aren't many rooms (5?) but the ones that we had were all more than acceptable - better than you'd find in a chain like the Novotel because they were a little quirky. Beautiful manoir and grounds. Huge room, masses of French character and tastefully decorated. Owners were very friendly and fortunately spoke English as - despite my fiancee's earlier claims - our French wasn't at all good! Only 300 yards from a very long and empty sandy beach. Enjoyed a leisurely stroll east for about a mile to find plenty of good... More

We booked the family suite which was OK although apart from the jacuzzi bath (very noisy) everything felt cheap (nylon leopard skin throws, no rugs, thin doors... The house (it is not really a Manor) is near the main road which gets very busy in the summer. We were given a camp bed for our youngest child but it was... More
