Along the Camino route we booked into 19 hotels ranging from big to small and experience varied from good to great to weird. Casa Pepa stands out as one of those special places which we will remember long after the memory of the other 18 fade. A little of the Camino route but plans can be made to get you...

We only stayed for two nights and had to leave really early for a flight, so only had one day to explore the area. We shall definately return for a longer spell next time as not only is the property amazing, but the surrounding area is really different and interesting, Laura and her Mum went out of their way to...

This is a beautifully adapted set of farm buildings near the Camino Frances. The bedroom we had was attractively and comfortably furnished with original and individual touches. I soaked for a good half hour in the small but cosy bathroom. There is a menu but our dinner was the product of discussion with Laura:for me some local cecina, chickpeas with...

Of the 30+ hotels and hostels we stayed at while doing the 'Camino de Santiago', this was, far and away, the best lodging of all. Not only was the hospitality great, the home cooked meals were fantastic, especially all the home-made jams and chocolate spread. I would recommend this place with absolutely no reservations whatsoever.

My Camino cycling buddy and I stayed here June 6, found it on trip advisor. The reviews were spot on. An amazing place, well worth the time and money. Our ride there was quiet and beautiful after the bustle of Leon. The place is a step back in time and into imagination. And completely comfortable. Our host Laura was very...

Four of us stayed here for one night whilst walking on the Camino. Laura was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. She really put herself out to make our stay a wonderful experience. The accommodation was tasteful, clean and comfortable. She served a delicious tender local beef stew for our evening meal, accompanied by fine red wine. After a good breakfast...

This hotel impressed us from beginning to end. It is a beautifully restored farm house which is comfortable without loosing any of its local Maragato charm and uniqueness. When we arrived, our luggage had already been taken to our room, and we were invited to the courtyard for refreshments. We took Laura's suggestion and visited the local museum to learn...

II stayed in this attractive Maragato house in the beautifully-preserved town of Santa Colomba for only one night, but it's worth staying longer. The rooms are arranged around a typical cobbled courtyard with authentic rustic charm. We were looked after by Laura and Pepa, her mother, who were open and hospitable. We had a great dinner in their restaurant and...

just 5 minutes outside Rabanal (Laura picked me up there and dropped me back the next morning). Beautifully furnished genuine rustic bedroom, amazing maragata cooking, excellent local wine, lovely people (welcome cerveza on arrival and a farewell empanada on departure to fortify my climb up to the Cruz de Ferro) so glad I stayed there, highly recommended

“We took a triple because we were travelling with Carmen's daughter. We almost took a double because the enormous bed was so appealing. Both of the rooms we looked at had loads of character with quality furniture. There is free wifi but I could only get connected in the patio and breakfast room.”
