I always come back to this place. It simply is the best unassuming hangout 15 miles around. In the summer the terrace is pleasant and cool, and in the winter the inside room is perfect. The only issue is when the menu de jour they present to you lacks imagination and the restaurant is too crowded. Then it takes time....

Marsanne is a large village in a stunning position in the Drome region. Les Aubergistes is a Hotel/Restaurant we arrived late afternoon on a steaming hot day parked directly outside in the little square under the plane trees. Our room was on the second floor (no lift) the corridor approach was quite shabby looking but the room was clean and...

We came here 'by accident' , camping was impossibl because of the Mistral. This is an Auberge, in a tiny french village in the Drome region. cafe/restaurant/hotel. Theroom was new, clean and had a great shower. The foor was cheap but excellent. We directly added another night. We paid € 55 per night for the room, € 20 pp for...

We stopped here for a night on our way south and wished we'd stopped for longer. Lovely old hotel right in the middle of a historic village. Tree-covered terrace, good food and service, and even a jazz trio (Friday night). Friendly landlord who spoke great English. Bedrooms are modern but rather sparsely furnished.

We came for a wedding and rented a three bed room. We really loved the atmosphere of this small hotel hidden behind the trees. Hotel was clean and cosy, and super calm. Breakfast was French style with bread and croissant an yummy home made jam. Staff super friendly . A good memory.

We had a dinner at the restaurant of Les Aubergistes a couple of years ago. And it was that fine experience that inciter us to book for a night on our way to Spain. Clean , large rooms, and the restaurant on the first floor. The situation at a typical French village square completed the romantic sphere. In allits simplicity...

We stayed on a Friday night, when the hotel has live music, which created a great atmosphere. The staff were very fiendly and helpful throughout. Our room was 2 floors up and was quite quirky but spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a lovely meal whilst listening to the live music in the evening - it might have been a...

The hotel is located near the centre of the village and is very easy to find. Our arrival co-incided with a trio of musicians setting up in the courtyard ready to perform that evening. A glass of beer listening to them rehearse was a great way to recover from our drive. Eric, the owner, could not have been more welcoming...

“There is mno lift, it's an old converted town house. We had a room at the front, above the terrace, but only a little noise”
