The previous reviews say it all. We stayed three nights. Excellent guest house with fine breakfasts. We were warmly greeted by Molly on arrival and quickly shown to our suite which was furnished really well and spotlessly clean. Molly then provided us with lots of info on resteraunts and places of interest to visit in the surrounding area. On the...

This was a three day stay that exceeded our expectations in all respects. A warm welcome and accommodation of a very high standard. Molly and Conor made us feel very much at home and many thanks must go to Lonki who helped not only with our luggage but ensured that each morning our car was clean and sparkling. We opted...

It's all been said before. This was by some distance the best B & B of our South African trip. Excellent food, accommodation and hospitality. Molly even found time to work a miracle cure (some sort of tablet!) on my wife who was suffering dizzy spells at the time. Try not to miss Conor's guided tour of the Elephant Park...

Let me just start by saying, no review will do this place justice... Our arrival plans changed, by many hours, I said we'd arrive in the early evening, then on our day of arrival I was calling Molly first thing in the morning to see if we could get there early and spend a day round the pool. We were...

we read the reviews of the Colonial before booking, thinking it can't be that good! But it was. Turned out to be the highlight of a brilliant holiday in South Africa. Molly and Conor were perfect hosts, suggesting places to visit whilst also providing a beautiful and restful guesthouse where you can chill out in the gardens or by the...

My wife and I have been guests at the Colonial every year for the past six years. We travel along the Garden Route and along Route 62 staying at various guest houses, B&Bs and hotels and we have not found anywhere that is better than staying with Molly and Conor. Molly is the perfect host and a trip with Conor...

We have just enjoyed the pleasure of staying at this very nice B&B located just 15 mins from Addo. We have stayed at some lovely places over the years and this accommodation is up there with the best of them. The owners, Molly and Connor, are clearly very proud of their business and attention to detail is evident at all...

Due to the paradise-like Location and the lovely hosts Molly and Conor, we had a Great stay here and would Love to stay longer next time! One of the most wonderful places we've been to and definitely the Perfect example why we prefer (good) B&bs over hotels. Regards also to cute Marley :)

As the name suggests, "Colonial Africa" is the theme in architecture, decor, setting and atmosphere of The Colonial on Arundel. Nestling in citrus orchards on a working farm, only 10 minutes from the malaria free Addo Elephant National Park, this 4 star 2-suite facility offers understated luxury, coupled with relaxed, friendly attention, and is enhanced by highly acclaimed cuisine. Each suite has private entrance, its own private lounge and private swimming pool. In-house safaris with Conor, the owner and a registered guide, to the Addo Elephant National Park, will enhance your African adventure. These tours are undertaken in a air-conditioned vehicle and offer the visitor an experience in wildlife, culture and unforgettable scenery. Conor and Molly have created a truly special place that goes to the very heart of relaxation and comfort. Within easy reach are mountain walks, horse-riding, elephant back safaris, farm excursions, cheetah breeding farm tours and visits into nearby private reserves. The Colonial is truly a place where our guests leave as friends, to return time and time again. The warm welcome feeling extends right down to our Head of Public Relations, Marley the Labrador, who successfully creeps into everyone's heart. Within a 45-minute drive of Port Elizabeth Airport and the beaches, and also the gateway to the Karoo, as well as to the Garden Route to Cape Town, The Colonial on Arundel is truly the desirable Eastern Cape place to be in every respect.
