This hotel is ideally located opposite the corniche close to the fish market, Souq and the bus stop for the Number 4 bus on the Ruwi Station to Al Alam Palace bus route. There are plenty of parking spaces around the hotel and a lot of parked taxis plus some restaurants and coffee shops.

I stayed in 3 different rooms at this hotel, two of which were twins and the other had a double bed with the price ranging from OMR20-30 depending on the room and how I booked it. All the beds were comfortable enough with a bedside table and telephone, a wardrobe (either a proper closed one or just an open wardrobe), a desk and chair with a TV and some shelves plus a fridge. Each of the rooms had at least one window with both a ceiling fan and aircon. No kettle is provided. There is also free WiFi in the room which usually works satisfactorily.

The bathroom was tiled and contained a bath tub with a fixed shower head with fairly inadequate spray plus it was very difficult regulating the water temperature in 2 of the rooms while the spray was problematic in the other. Beware you don't scold yourself. The washbasin was big and the toilet was fine although the flush worked fairly badly. Toilet paper and bath gel were provided.

There is breakfast on the ground floor consisting of toast, dry croissant, cup cakes and some watermelon. You can also get an omelette served with pieces of raw carrot and chips plus a choice of tea or coffee.

The staff are very pleasant, polite and helpful and can provide you with all the information you would ever need to know.

I was told by another guest that the hotel is due soon for renovation which I hope does not spoil its current authentic nature and that it continues to be the affordable hotel it is at present.

Having already stayed here more than once, I would not hesitate to stay here again next time I'm in Muscat

Hotel Naseem is not like most of the international anonymous chain hotels that are found in the modern area of Muscat away from the coast. The location could not be better - on the corniche and two minutes from the fish market and a short walk from the souk.
Indian staff are friendly and helpful but not pushy. Rooms are simple and not everything is brand new but very comfy and all is kept scrupulously clean. This includes the bathrooms which are fine although the shower is at the old and tired stage.
Wifi is very good but tv only had two non Arabic channels that we could find and there was only one bedside table.
No need change towels daily
They do a very nice breakfast (tea better than coffee)
Do use their nice short guide with excellent information on Muscat buses. This saved us a lot of money so thank you Naseem. If we are ever in Oman again we will be back

friendly staff and location in Muttrah really stick out. The Hotel has seen better days and needs some upkeep here and there but all together it is sufficient enough and ok for the prize.
Wifi worked good and taxi to airport was arranged for 10 riyal which seems to be a normal prize.

This wasn't an issue for me but should be noted for other travelers: Hotel is located next to a school that starts every morning (except weekends i.e. friday) at 7:15 am with an energizing music played by the school band (or all kids?). So be prepared to get up early.

We were very impressed with our 3 night stay at Hotel Naseem. We opted for the deluxe seaview room and were rewarded with a beautiful view out over Mutrah Harbor, the corniche, and the fish souq. The hotel is small and unpretentious, literally right across the road from the western end of the corniche, just a short walk to the Mutrah Souq and fish souq. There are plenty of really good restaurants and coffee shops all along the corniche, all within a 1 to 10 minute walk. So many interesting walks in the area – through the streets of old Mutrah and a great overland hike to Old Muscat where you can see the palace, forts, and tons of museums.

Our room was bright and airy with plenty of windows. The AC and TV worked well and there was a good little mini-fridge as well. The Wifi was OK, just a bit on the slow side (our 5G data connections were much faster). Everything was modern, clean, and well-maintained, and a great shower. Plenty of wardrobe space for all your stuff as well. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Most people had their breakfast in the coffee shop downstairs, however our booking didn’t include breakfast, so we opted for a simple Indian style breakfast a few 100m down the corniche. At only about 1 OMR ($2.50) we had a great breakfast of coffee, chappati, lentils and curried potatoes – delicious!

Overall we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this place to all other travelers who want great base in the Mutrah area. We felt this hotel to be very good value at only US$52 per night.

We stayed at The Naseem Hotel for four nights. Upon being taken to the room, there were no towels or water or cups so we had to ask for some. We did day trips from the hotel and every day we returned, our key did not work, so every day we had to go back downstairs to ask them to revalidate it. There was no bath mat in the shower so I nearly broke my neck! We had to ask twice for a bath mat. On our last evening, on return to the hotel, the room had not been cleaned. We told the reception who then sent someone up but as we just wanted to get ready to go out for dinner, we just asked for new towels and some water. The cleaner tried to charge us for the water so we just sent him away. I did bring all this to the attention of the receptionist on check out and she did apologise and said well this is not Europe! So I told her that was irrelevant as we live in the Middle East ourselves so that excuse didn’t wash! Would I stay here again? No, yes it’s relatively cheap but not particularly comfortable and the staff are sadly lacking. Location is good, right by the souk.

We stayed here at the start and end of a two week trip in Oman. The hotel was in a perfect location for walking to the Souk, the Fish Market and to Old Muscat. It was easy to take a bus from outside the hotel to the airport and to the Grand Mosque (with one change).
Sandeep Mohan, who is the Operations Manager at the hotel was more than helpful with travel advice. He spent a long time helping us to plan our independent trip and advised us on places to go and how much we should be paying.
The hotel was friendly and comfortable.

This is an excellent bolt-hole for the Corniche, which is where most international travellers will want to be. Rooms are perfectly serviceable. Check-in was very simple. Breakfast is good. Location is handy to the fort, the Corniche, restaurants, fish market and market. Staff are very helpful. A sunset cruise on a dhow can be booked at the desk. The azan is not too obtrusive at dawn but very loud at other times of the day.

The best thing about this boxy, charmless hotel is its location right on the Al Mutrah Corniche just steps away from the souk.

The staff are very pleasant and efficient.

Breakfast was ok, but they could use a toaster. Don't miss the karak chai.

The room was perfectly clean and comfortable, except that the a/c was directly over the bed and blasted us with cold air. It was hard to set the temperature. No safe in the room, but we felt comfortable leaving our valuables anyway. The mattress and pillows were the perfect firmness for me.

When we were there, parking was restricted to the lot behind the hotel which was chock-a-block. There are informal attendants who signal free spots and help you manoeuver for a small tip. The large carpark in front was closed off due to a VIP visit.

This hotel is very clean. The location is great. It’s located in the heart of Mutrah. If you stay in there, you don’t need to take a taxi, you can pretty much walk to most attractions.
Also, the view is great, especially if you get a room that has a view toward the sea.

Strategic position, face to cornice in the hearth of Muttrah. Basic hotel with a breakfast not too varies. We, me ad my wife, stayed twice in Naseem hotel. Arriving in Oman for 3 days in room 19. 4 beds, but noise from the street and a terrible noise from the air conditioner. The conditioners are the same, old quality, in all the rooms and also the problem remains.
Twice we were at top floor, room 43. fantastic view, and quite room, for 5 nights, after visiting the Country..
Friendly staff, but the value added of Naseem hotel, is its manager: Mr Sandeep. A very special person. He is a tour operator too, so, after helping you to be more confortable in the hotel, he will give you all the suggestions for visiting the city and the Country. So helpful with me that I could use, at night, his computer in his office for my work ! Unbelievable !!!
You must know that during this spring, Naseem hotel will be renewed and it'll remanin closed for one year, more or less.
Sure, I'll return to Naseem hotel, it was like at home.
Ivanromeo.
