I have stayed here on several occasions now, and every time I stay the staff are extremely professional and welcoming.
It's nice to see some familiar faces at both the reception desk and in the restaurant.
The breakfast buffet is extensive with food from several different regions, and a good selection of dishes. The service in the restaurant is great, and staff soon know your pattern and bring you your preferred hot drink without you needing to ask. I commend them on their customer service.
There is ample hotel parking, 2 levels below ground to add to the parking out front.
The rooms are immaculate and the hotel is quiet, so you're guaranteed a good night's rest.
We had issues with the WiFi on this occasion, and I spent several hours with the IT engineers trying to get to the bottom of the problem. I've never had problems with the WiFi here before though, so I imagine there was some anomaly. It didn't detract from the overall quality of the stay.

I'd like to share my recent experience with the staff who handled our situation. Our flight to Dubai was diverted to Muscat due to a rainstorm, and by midnight, we found ourselves at a hotel for an unexpected overnight stay before catching a new flight. A centrally located hotel ideal for business travellers or tourists alike. The breakfast buffet is fantastic with a huge selection of food available, including Arabic, Western, Indian and Chinese cuisine. The rooms are very quiet and extremely clean. The front desk staff are very helpful and can advise you on any aspect of your stay in Oman. There is a laundry room on the 7th floor where you can make use of a washing machine and clothes dryer, in addition to a hotel laundry service. Detergent is sold in the hotel shop. The hotel has a swimming pool on the 7th floor in addition to a well equipped gym. Taxis are very easy to obtain at the hotel and you are no more than 15 minutes away from all the major malls and entertainments.

Opened in 2019, this hotel is situated in Al Khuwair, boasting excellent proximity to Muscat International Airport (just 16 km away) as well as the renowned Royal Opera House (7 km) and Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (6 km). The hotel is an ideal destination for both business and leisure travellers.
The hotel offers a range of amenities, including free underground parking, complimentary laundry service, spectacular city & mountain views, friendly and respectful staff, comfortable beds, and a daily deep room-cleaning service. However, the rooftop pool should be renovated as soon as possible due to many missing tiles. Additionally, while the breakfast offers a 50% discount, the food options are still limited and thus the overall cost is still expensive in comparison to the excellent restaurants located within walking distance, where you can have a delicious breakfast for a reasonable price.

The hotel seems to be quite new with a decent lobby and ample parking outside in the basement. The room was comfortable, but a bit lacking in amenities compared to other 4-star Hilton hotels I have stayed in. The internet connection was good, so that made up for some of the shortfalls. Service still needs improvement, and really not sure whether if the hotel was understaffed or just lack of training on the staff. I wanted to use the swimming pool at the rooftop and there were no pool towels. I called contacting reception a few times and waited for almost 40 minutes before someone came to replenish the towels. One of the days, my room was not cleaned when I came back around 4pm in the afternoon, and every morning during breakfast, I noticed that the tables are not cleared fast enough that I had to walk around to find one that is properly set. I hope the service improves because the room was fine and the hotel's location is good.

I really enjoyed my stay here and can say it is one of the the best Hilton Garden Inns I've visited. The location is not ideal in terms of proximity to the downtown and historic area of Muscat, but worked fine for me as I had a rental car. The underground free parking was ample and convenient and there are several nearby malls with lots of restaurants and a place to cool off. I tried walking to one of the malls and quickly gave up on that idea as the area is really not pedestrian friendly (and even driving can be a challenge with all the traffic and construction). But it was a good base for exploration of the country. There is a small exercise path in the complex park in front of the hotel which was very convenient. The hotel design, with the inner courtyard, was more interesting than a typical HGI. The deluxe room I got was functional and spacious enough, modern but not overly luxurious as you would expect for the brand. The combo shower/tub was awkward but had good water pressure. The breakfast buffet was a home run, honestly one of the best I've ever had in a four star hotel (and you can see by my post count I've had a lot!) They had a wide selection of quality hot and cold items and a great balance of western, Arab, Indian and Asian items. As a vegetarian, I had lots of good choices every morning. Moreover, they varied the items every day-- something that often even high end hotels don't bother to do. This makes a multi-day stay more interesting and I have to say I really looked forward to what new things I would find at breakfast every day. Didn't try any other meals but I would say the breakfast definitely exceeded my expectations. Service in general was pretty good, not perfect. Room cleaning was not done automatically on first day and I was told I need to request it, which had not been communicated on checkin. But I quickly got to know the friendly and efficient cleaning staff and spoke to them directly each day to ensure my room was cleaned according to my schedule. One other thing I should mention is I really appreciated the free washers and dryers provided for guest use. They worked great and came in really handy ensuring I had clean clothes for the rest of my trip. Overall this hotel is a fantastic value and one I would highly recommend, if you have your own transportation.

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the exceptional experience I had during my recent stay at the hotel.
Throughout my three-night stay, I was impressed by the level of excellence and professionalism displayed by the entire team. The breakfast options were plentiful and varied each day, catering to different tastes and preferences.
The housekeeping staff, despite high occupancy, managed to maintain an immaculate standard and always delivered an outstanding service.
I would like to extend a special thank you to the executive chef for the personal attention given when I ordered the egg benedict. It was prepared to perfection, and his expertise was evident. Sincere thanks to Hilton Garden Inn hotel for the warmth welcome in our every stay with them and the flexible offers and services that tirelessly impressed our family with their full effort of hospitality & eminent care to the guest..
The management has a complimentary birthday cake for my husband as we enter to our 2 connecting rooms that we truly appreciates. It is well prepared, very tidy, surely sanitized with some decorative towels on the bed that amazed my kids.
To mention Mr. Ken & Ms. Lily from the reservation/reception whose very responsive and congenial with our queries & requests.
To the housekeeping department, who acted with full tilt in our every phone calls for some needs & assistance.
And ofcourse, to the resto chef’s & staffs (Kajal, Sohel, Neesha, Sayil & Rajesh) whose eminently diligent for whatever we asked for, plus a pancake purposely specialize for my kids. They actually knew & remember us already for quite often visits here.
To the entire hotel management, We are absolutely grateful for always making our staycation genial, enjoyable & special. As how we’re always here for every peculiar occasion.

I don’t know when you posted this so sorry if it’s late! Nothing is really walking distance in Muscat. You either need to rent a car and then download here we go as a gps (it works offline), or rely on taxi’s which aren’t very cheap. However you can get a number of a taxi driver and he will come and take/ collect you wherever you want to go. For sightseeing things I’d suggest staying around qurm as it’s more central.
There are more places to choose from in the Muscat area.
