We stayed in the Harmonie room and were able to sit outside on our own terrace every evening. Isabelle is a wealth of information about wine in general and local wineries in particular. She knows the local restaurants. Good French breakfast--fresh eggs and wonderful homemade muffins. She makes preserves from her own fruit trees and her neighbors gardens. They have...

We stayed two nights in the Anthocyane room. One of the reasons I booked this room is because of the name. If you have studied botany you'll totally get it. If not, anthocyanins are the pigments left over in the leaves when the chlorophyll that typically renders them green fade away. Thus if you've enjoyed tree leaves turning color in...

This small inn in a wonderful old vineyard estate was the perfect escape and very convenient for visiting Saint-Emilion and the Bordeaux region. Our host Isabelle was most gracious and her breakfasts were heavenly. Her two dogs, gentle and friendly, were an added bonus.

Isabelle is a phenomenal hostess. She reminds me of a slight hummingbird the way she flits around the property taking care of various chores. She went out of her way to be accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious. She went so far as to make dinner reservations for us when we called to let her know that we would be...

The welcome from Isabelle was amazing, she was full of ideas and the home made jams, muffins etc were lovely. Sadly it wasn't warm enough to use...

We stayed at the Bel Air Carpe Diem for two nights in August. Warm welcome, large and comfortable room, excellent breakfast, nice location. We chose it because we have family living nearby but it would make a good base for anyone wanting to explore the region.
