Very good clean basic hotel in lovely rural area. Breakfast basic but adequate. A lady will cook you scrambled eggs and bacon if you want it. A cute little bar area for a night cap. The hotel is very clean and the beds are comfortable . Very good value for money

Stayed here one night, very comfortable room, great breakfast and polite, helpful staff, very good value and highly recommended. Arganil is a nice wee town with good shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful catalpa a meal at Grelha restaurant, enough fish for four and look forward to going back as the owner was more than helpful.

This classic older hotel is run by a lovely family. The son was extremely kind and helpful to us during our 5 night stay, recommending great local restaurants and even taking us to see them so we'd know how to get there. A nice breakfast buffet is included, with lots of fresh fruit, eggs, various meats, pastries and fresh rolls,...

I needed to visit the Arganil tax office and this hotel fit the bill perfectly. My mother cannot walk so the lift was a great bonus. Our room was large and spotlessly clean from the floor/bathroom/bed linen. Excellent large towels with plenty of hot water. The young lady who checked us in realised that we were very tired and offered...

This is a practical hotel where everything works well, it is clean and tidy, however what makes it standout is the warm reception I received from the owners. I arrived later in the evening and had to leave early the next morning by 7.00 am before breakfast. Without asking, the owners said it would be no problem to provide breakfast...

Arganil, a small city lost in the mountains in the center of Portugal, once heart of the Port Wine rally, keeps its character and has surprises like Hotel do Arganil. The atmosphere of unsurpassed quality, of ownership, of service, in the hotel, attracts visitors from the first moment, and transform a stay overnight into an experience that has to be...
