I stayed here for 8 days. I didn’t do the usual Aruyvedic treatment like most of the other guests, but experienced daily massages, yoga, doctor consultations and made good use of the swimming pool and incredible beach. I had a wonderful, very meaningful and memorable stay at Surya Lanka. The location alone is breathtaking. The staff are all very kind and go above and beyond to help guests in any way they can. There is an unbelievable level of attention to detail and thoughtfulness across everything at the place - from the presentation of the food to the maintenance of the whole resort. All the staff clearly work extremely hard and around the clock to help to provide guests with whatever they may want. I am so pleased and grateful to have stayed at Surya Lanka. I was able to…
I have just returned from a month long stay at Surya Lanka Ayurveda Beach Resort and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking an authentic Ayurveda experience. This is my third intensive panchakarma cure and by far the most professional in every aspect. The resident doctor, Dr. Pradeep and his team of therapists were very experienced and the treatments authentic and effective. The hotel itself is located on an unspoiled beach, away from the usual tourist sites, offering peace and tranquillity in beautiful, palm filled grounds and a deserted beachfront location. Really stunning. The Covid protocols in place were impressive, cleanliness could not be faulted, the meals delicious and varied and all the staff exceptionally friendly. I can highly recommend this establishment…
Surya Lanka re-opened on the 1. of April and we were there from this day on. We were very impressed by the extensive preparations they had done to fullfil the criteria for Level 1 hotels (Covid hygiene). It was our fifth visit and we had the great fortune to be there with only 6 other guests. This allowed us to experience the treatments very intensively. The service and food were excellent as always. Overall, very few tourists were there, but we want to encourage people to come visit Surya Lanka and experience the atmosphere, treatments, food, and the amazing landscape. We want to thank the whole staff for their extreme dedication. They had to stay on the grounds of the resort during the whole time. Despite the locked up situation, it is possible to take long relaxing walks on…
I have visited Kerala and Sri Lanka many times over the last 09 years to receive Ayurveda Treatment - so far Surya Lanka has been the best overall. In my experience in general Ayurveda in Kerala is a bit more intensive compared to Sri Lanka, with more focus on Panchakarma treatments than massages. Surya Lanka is intensive! As the Doctor explained to me this is because the overall Ayurveda program was devised by one of the leading Ayurveda Doctors in India over 20 years ago, and they have maintained that same schedule to this day. After the consultation with the Doctor I received my personal treatment program. The next day at a different session the same Doctor also explained what oils would be used for my massages. The Ayurveda program follows the traditional Panchakarma process…
I came for the first time to do a punchakarma 13 days retreat. I didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and I am Inlove with the place... 50 shades of curry... so much to choose from and super friendly n professional. This is not a luxury facility, yet, simple and clean. You hear the waves and relax automatically... a m a z I n g
I could heighly recommend, if you want a very quiet Ayurveda treatment. Very frindly stuff and direct located at a wonderful beach (exept of the dogs). Its not a luxery resort, but clean, food is fine and i recommend the rooms in the new wing. Ayurveda medicine is natural, so no heavy metal as they told me.
My husband and I stayed at Surya Lanka for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon. In summary, this place is in a fantastic location, has amazing food, lovely staff, a gorgeous beach and really high-quality service. Facilities are not luxurious because it's all part of providing a realistic Ayurvedic experience. We have nothing to add to Surya Lanka. If you are looking for a true detox and relaxing experience this is THE place to be! Thank you so much for helping us switching off :D
Spent two weeks of ayurveda treatments at Surya Beach and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel is offering good accommodations - not luxury, but good rooms and bathrooms. The food is just fantastic - too good if you want to loose weight! The treatments are well organized, although I am not sure of the quality of the doctors. This was my 5th ayurveda treatment, mainly for allergies, and I must say that other treatments have been more successful. The facilities are very well organized. Everything is very efficient but somehow the doctors do not come across as experts. The setting of the hotel is very nice, and the walks on the beach are fantastic! The only thing we did not like were that for instance the yoga instructor explained everything in German and that some of the…
Surya Lanka is a rare little gem that overwhelms you with serenity as you walk in. From the warm, friendly staff to the lush, scenic gardens that allow you access to the untouched beach - it's a place you will never forget. The Ayurvedic treatments exceed expectation through professionalism and authenticity. There are many treatments to choose from personalised to your own needs. I received a full body and head massage with a steam treatment after and cannot advocate Ayurveda more. The vegetarian buffet is delicious with sincere staff looking after your every need. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful resort as I've now been there twice and can't wait to go back again!
The place in itself is beautiful with direct access to a wonderful beach. The food is fantastic. Never have I had so much lovely vegetarian food. All the staff are going out of there way to make your stay comfortable and see to your needs. The ayvurveda is very serious and professional. I had booked a week with light cure and was not prepared for what it entails. I opted out of a few of the treatments. It was just too much for such a short stay. They do recommend staying 2-3 weeks, which most of the other guests did. So those who are prepared to go through a real ayurvedic treatment, this should be the place. I was not ready for that now and that is my responsibility. The room was very warm and only had a fan. It was said amongst the guests that air condition is not…
