Surya Lanka is a rare little gem that overwhelms you with serenity as you walk in. From the warm, friendly staff to the lush, scenic gardens that allow you access to the untouched beach - it's a place you will never forget. The Ayurvedic treatments exceed expectation through professionalism and authenticity. There are many treatments to choose from personalised to your own needs. I received a full body and head massage with a steam treatment after and cannot advocate Ayurveda more. The vegetarian buffet is delicious with sincere staff looking after your every need. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful resort as I've now been there twice and can't wait to go back again!
The place in itself is beautiful with direct access to a wonderful beach. The food is fantastic. Never have I had so much lovely vegetarian food. All the staff are going out of there way to make your stay comfortable and see to your needs. The ayvurveda is very serious and professional. I had booked a week with light cure and was not prepared for what it entails. I opted out of a few of the treatments. It was just too much for such a short stay. They do recommend staying 2-3 weeks, which most of the other guests did. So those who are prepared to go through a real ayurvedic treatment, this should be the place. I was not ready for that now and that is my responsibility. The room was very warm and only had a fan. It was said amongst the guests that air condition is not…
Without doubt this is one of the nicest resorts on this stretch of the south coast. It is on one of the last unspoilt beaches and the property is immaculate with mature gardens and a real commitment to making the guests comfortable. I salute the reception staff who were unfailingly polite, helpful and cheerful. The restaurant staff and excellently briefed, professional and friendly. The chef is a lovely guy and will try his hand at anything you ask. The groundstaff do a cracking job. Rooms are kept very clean and housekeeping are experts in towel origami. One of the highlights are the arranged half day trips (free) to visit local towns and attractions. They are beautifully organised and made a huge difference. Congrats. I stayed for about 3 weeks after doing my panchkarma in…
October 2014. This was my first Ayurveda cure, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to be. The Surya Lanka is set in beautiful gardens, with views directly to the beach and sea from simple but comfortable rooms. It offers peace and relaxtion. Your every need is catered for, with delicious food, friendly service, and thoroughly professional ayurvedic treatments exactly matched to each individual's needs. I am already planning a repeat visit....! My thanks to the whole team.
My 17 day stay in Surya Lanka was amazing.A great place to relax and destress-the best massages I have ever had, literally only a few steps to a beautiful beach (swimming in the warm tropical waters was great) and a friendly staff that takes care of everything for you. The food was mainly vegetarian (they have a bbq every weekend I think) but every day the buffet was filled with new tasty dishes so I never got bored of the food which was a concern of mine before I arrived. Special mention of the cookery class carried out by the head chef. Overall a wonderful experience and I would definitely try to return. Tip- ask the reception about the excursions provided free of charge- Our group got a tour of a tea factory!!
