Lovely B&B in a superb location with incredible views over the sea and Hugh Town. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts Richard and Jane are so welcoming and helpful. Loved it and would highly recommend Kistvaen.

Definitely WALKABLE. The ferry system is set up to deliver your luggage to your hotel or b+b for a small charge per item. They put your case in a container on the ship so its not knocking your legs on the voyage. You can pay Kistvaen for the luggage system when you settle up. Leave your cases ready on the leaving day. Make sure your luggage label includes your hotel. From the ferry the walk is under 10 minutes.
From the ferry, head left towards the town but diagonally up hill so the sea and bay and Main street is to your left. There are few street names visible in the town. When you see the police station you should walk uphill with police station behind you on your right. Take the left road 50 yards above the police station and follow it to Kistvaen which is up some steps on your right, almost at the end.
