Had a one night stay in January. Check in was very quick and courteous. Up to the room which had a lovely view of the front garden. Room was more than adequate for what we paid. 10 minute drive to Cheshire Oaks, wife's birthday so a little retail therapy required. Called at the Chimneys pub restaurant on way home which...

We booked the Boxing Day buffet for the whole family. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and service was good. The only disappointment was a disagreement about a child's meal, which the hotel said we hadn't booked. This was quickly sorted out at no charge for the meal, so everyone was happy. This is the second year we have...

Hi 'The Rambler' I'm so glad you had a great time with us on Boxing Day, it's such a lovely relaxed event. Can't wait to welcome you to New Year's Eve next year, although do book early, as so many of our gusts book as they're checking out on New Year's Day that I think the event was sold out...

Myself & my partner stayed here Christmas night. Really lovely warm welcome on arrival. Very festive feeling, beautifully decorated tree & fresh flowers. Complimentary mulled wine & mince pies next to a roaring log fire were delicious! You can't get much more festive than that! Our room was nice although décor not to my taste with the ceiling wallpapered the...

We stayed here as a party of 6 for New Years eve party. Check in was courteous and very friendly, before been given the key to our room the receptionist showed us around the ground floor. Hi Adviser58 I am so sorry that your husband experienced difficulties with the room during your stay. As you mention, we did make it clear at the time of your booking that owing to our Grade 2 listed status and the age of the building it is not possible to install a lift. We also have a clear description of...

We went here on boxing day for a special buffet and it did not disappoint. Even though it was a buffet we had our starters served to us in a lovely room. The starters were all lovely and beautifully presented - I think my only point would be that the mozzarella balls were quite tasteless. There was a great selection...

Hi Lotuselanman Thanks for this lovely review, I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay. All our rooms do have 2 bedside lamps and a radio alarm/docking station, although during the Christmas party season we do incur some 'collateral damage' from guests who have fully embraced the festive spirit, so I will be checking with housekeeping and can only apologise if yours...
