Just back from an amazing holiday staying in beachcomber coastal caravan, which was immaculately clean and had everything you would need for your stay. The shop is fully stocked and so reasonable and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. The lodge take away served delicious fish and chips, best we've eaten in a long while.
The public facilities are excellent, Wooda farm park have thought of everything and continue to maintain the highest standards.
We have been staying here for 25 years and it just gets better and better. We look forward to returning next year and creating more wonderful memories.

We have stayed here a few times now, originally in a motorhome but now in a caravan. The site itself is very well kept and some of the pitches have wonderful views, and we have booked again for next year. The facilities are normally very good ( some are temporarily closed at the moment)and the woodland walk is nice. The toilets/showers are clean, but cold this time. I chose not to use the showers this time partly because of COVID but also because the block was cold. I understand that because of COVID they need to have some fresh air circulating and advice was not to use the facilities but some people don’t have that choice, most of the windows were open and the door was wedged open making it pretty chilly. I noticed very few people seemed to be using them. The location to Bude is convenient if you have your own transport or you are fit because the bus service was infrequent and not always close to the site and you sometimes have to walk to Poughill which is down a busy narrow lane. The walk into Bude takes around 3/4 -1 hour downhill depending on your fitness but some roads are narrow, and obviously takes longer on the way back. It’s a lovely site for couples and families alike.

Thank you for writing a review following your recent stay in a touring caravan as it was lovely to read your comments regarding the park, its location and views. Due to the Coronavirus we have had to keep the shower/toilet facilities well ventilated by keeping windows and doors open in addition to the new cleaning programme that has been implemented this season to keep all our guests safe. We look forward to welcoming you back to Wooda in the near future. Kind Regards, Wooda Farm Holiday Park

We booked this stay last minute after the government allowed campsites to open back up, there were only a few non electric spaces left so we jumped at the opportunity. Wooda Farm sent very clear and helpful emails telling us what to do when we arrived as there would be no check in when we got there for obvious safety reasons. When we arrived the campsite exceeded expectations with lovely pruned bushes and green spaces. We thought our pitch was in one of the fields so drove to it and someone was in the pitch we thought we were in so we called reception who were very helpful and described the way to our pitch. We were almost in disbelief when we got to our pitch and thought there was a big mix up as the pitch was private with lovely hydrangea bushes and other bushes around it! As you walk around the campsite it has a very homely feel to it, you can see the sea from certain parts which adds to the niceness of it all. The facilities are decent with hot showers and benches in to aid, when we came we had to wear masks inside the facility block which isn’t an issue and most people obliged. They are cleaned regularly by nice people too! The on site restaurant serve very good chips with a decent sized portion! It is located just outside of Bude which you can drive or walk to if you need. There are shops like Lidl and Morrison’s a couple minutes drive from the campsite. Would recommend to anyone who wants to visit a top class campsite!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review following your recent stay at Wooda Farm. It was nice to hear that you found the pre-arrival letter helpful which included directions to Wooda, your pitch number, a park plan, and information regarding Wooda and the surrounding area. The pre-arrival email is sent 48 hours before arrival and allows guests to look at the park plan to locate their pitch and all we ask is that the online check-in is complete once on site which reduces the number of people coming into reception. It was lovely to read your comments regarding our park, the facilities that we have to offer, and the pitch you stayed on and of our staff. The Lodge Takeaway is run under a separate management and I will pass on your comments to them. We look forward to welcoming you back to Wooda in the near future. Kind Regards, Wooda Farm Holiday Park

We were recommended Wooda Farm by a family member. We arrived on Tuesday to find that our static caravan had a number of flies dead and alive in the lounge area. Phoned reception who immediately sent someone over with a can of extremely strong fly spray, who advised that there are always flies at this time of year and its what's expected of staying in the country! Having checked over the caravan after he left we found that upon opening one of the bedroom doors there was a swarm of flies in the room, it was absolutely horrendous. On the outside of the caravan there were also loads of other flies trying to get in. By this time our caravan smelt so strong of fly spray it was causing my partner and I to cough. Phoned reception who immediately upgraded us to another caravan. Sadly there were flies again and more gathering outside to get in. It was totally unacceptable for us to be expected to stay in a caravan with this amount of flies in. Once again we contacted reception who again advised that at this time of year there are always flies especially being in the countryside. We live in the countryside and have never seen anything like this before except for when flies swarm on dead animals waste etc. We stay at least twice a year in other static caravan parks and have never once had an insect problem like this. We were reimbursed most of our money but charged £50 for both caravans to be re cleaned. Very disappointing.

We’ve returned home today after a fab week at Wooda. We took our tourer and had a fully serviced pitch. Lovely and spacious with hedges separating the pitches. The toilets and showers were absolutely spotless and are cleaned very frequently. Masks are required to use the facilities and there is ample hand sanitiser dotted around the site, we felt very safe. The grounds and children’s park are maintained to a very high standard and the views are to die for. We’ve really enjoyed our week at Wooda

This was our first visit to Wooda Farm. We have been caravaners for many years, both abroad and in this country and I can honestly say this is one of the best organised, cleanest sites that we have ever visited . The Covid restrictions were well thought out . Sadly, but understandably, we were unable to use many of the usual facilities but look forward to returning to enjoy these in the near future. What a delight to see a site with such gorgeous views and space to explore.

We booked Trebarwith Lodge at Gwelva Hills for a 4 night stay. The Wooda website is excellent, easy to use and lots of information. We booked online and received confirmation very quickly. Upon arrival we could check in at 4pm , we received a courtesy phone call and an email with the code for the key box.
The Lodge is in a great position with fantastic far reaching views, the park was quiet as not many touring pitches occupied. Gwelva Hills is in a separate part of the park.
First impressions really great, one of the cleanest accommodations we have stayed in. High end equipment not your usual IKEA as in many self catering units. The bathroom sanitary ware was all Duravit , kitchen all Siemens and Miele washer/ dryer. Everything well maintained.
The lodge has a great layout, 3 comfortable bedrooms all en suite . We requested one of the twins to be made as a double and this was done for our arrival. Nice bedding, very quiet! Apart from the wind which was terrible the night we arrived.
The park itself is very well maintained , very tidy with pitches and static vans. Great location for Bude and surrounding beaches.
We would not hesitate to return or recommend to friends. The only addition we would have liked was a Nespresso coffee machine , that would be a further enhancement .

Wooda site is really beautiful, well maintained and spotless. We camped as a family of 5 for 10 nights and had the best weather we could have wished for, there is a great play park and the adjoining bude Segway activity association is superb! There is a lovely pixie walk through the grounds, which once you find it, you can entertain the children for a good hour wandering around the track looking at the alpaca and bug house etc. You can also hire golf and tennis equipment to play on the facilities and book a massage with the wonderful Claire.
However as an overall holiday experience I was totally underwhelmed by the service at the site. You are made to feel as if you are a burden rather than a very well paying guest.
The reception is now auto check in, which is great but feels as if security is vulnerable. When you do visit reception there’s either no one there or they’re manning both the shop and reception which in peak season is very poor, especially for the amount you’ve paid to stay. When they do arrive you’re greeted by expressionless staff and no engaging service at all.
The shop service is just awful, most mornings at 9am you’re still waiting for bread and milk to arrive and then there’s a disorganised chaos. Don’t try to get any on a weekend as there’s no delivery regardless of advertising it’s a daily service. Topped you have the same service level as above which is just functional.
The bar we waited 20 mins to get served and then another 15 until we got our drinks and the takeaway although nice you have had to order by 4pm to get food, that’s if they have slots left, most days these had gone by 1pm.
The other parts of the park seemed to be shut, gym, toddler area, gift shop, art studio.
Location to bude is great and the town itself is lovely, with many events, markets and of course the fabulous beaches and a great play park. It’s short on restaurants although there are plenty of places to grab fish and chips, a good old Cornish pasty or curry / pizza.
We leave Bude having had a nice holiday just with mixed feelings about Wooda, like I’ve been fleeced for money, with covid being a good excuse to cut back on the bits that make the difference in a holiday park…Great service!!

Response from , Owner at Wooda Farm Holiday Park
Responded 6 Sept 2021
Dear Laura, Thank you for taking the time to submit a review following your recent stay at Wooda and I was saddened to read some of the comments that you have made. The pandemic has changed the way certain things are run on the park, but we are operating in the best way we can with the safety of our guests and staff paramount especially with cases of Corona Virus in the South West being so high now. An online check-in was introduced when the park opened last year to reduce the number of people coming into reception due to the Corona Virus and this system is still in place and it has been well-received by many of our guests, but guests arriving at the park are very welcome to call into reception on arrival if they would prefer and we will be happy to assist them with their check-in, giving them direction to their pitch and any other information needed. The Park has been fully open since the government lifted the final restrictions on 19th July except for the toddler play zone and the archery. The archery was run by an outside company, and they have decided not to offer this facility this year. Elsie and Rose are open 5 days a week and there is a board outside this shop, the reception and the farm shop stating the opening times of this shop. The Art Studio is run by the owner’s sister Sue Read, and I believe that she works from this studio throughout the week and anyone wanting to visit can call her to arrange this. There are 2 member of staff covering reception each day, but at times one member will work from the upstairs office and in the shop 2 member of staff cover the morning as this is when deliveries mainly arrive, and 1 member of staff covers the afternoon. Milk and bakery goods are delivered to the farm shop 6 days a week, with Sunday being the only exception. Unfortunately, we have no control on the time any deliveries arrive for the farm shop and the staff do their very best to get these items onto the shop shelves as soon as they can as well as serve guests. The Courtyard Bar & Grill and The Lodge Takeaway are run under a separate management, and I will therefore pass on your remarks onto them. However, due to a shortage of staff in hospitality this year, which is not just in the South West, but throughout the whole country opening times have had to been revised this season. Orders for the Lodge Takeaway can be placed online up until 4.30pm on the day or an order can be placed by telephone after 5pm and tables at The Courtyard Bar & Grill can be booked online via our website and these can both be booked 3 weeks in advance. The Wellness Barn is run separately, and I will pass on your kind comment to Claire. I am sorry that you felt you did not get the service and value that you expected as we aim to make all our guests feel as welcome as possible when staying on the park and we hope to welcome you back to the park sometime in the future. Kind Regards, Wooda Farm Holiday Park

We rented a Beachcomber mobile home at Wood and throughly enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and well thought out. However, being used to staying in holiday cottages we found that very little is provided - just a minimal starter pack of washing up liquid, loo rolls etc. No soap! The site is large, but well laid out and maintained. Altogether a very good break.

Wooda Holiday Park is but a few minutes from Crooklets Beach, Bude on the outskirts of the village of Poughill. Set high up, the view across the Atantic and down the north coast of Cornwall are unbeatable.
Tregea is a five bedroomed property which has been built and fitted out to the highest standard. It is tastefully furnished in marine colours and decoration. All bedrooms are of a good size. Two double bedrooms upstairs with either an en suite bathroom or shower room. Another double ensuite was downstairs with a walk in dressing room. Two more twin/double rooms are on the ground floor which share a large wet room. The living space is open plan and spacious with views over the sea. Plenty of on site parking with a safe garden. A deck out front provides the opportunity to soak up some sun and enjoy the views. It was great to fins a rental property that was properly set up of 10 people, such as glasses plates etc, pans large enough to cook for a lot of people. The children particulalrly liked the colourful plastic cups , plates and bowls provided for little people!
The house benefitted from a games room with pool and table tennis, plus a snug for watching TV or using Wii.
It has a wonderfully friendly feel and our family loved every minute of their weekend - even when it rained!
Wooda staff have always been efficient, very friendly and helpful, especially when Covid put pay to our original booking and we were able to find another weekend with their help.
Can't wait to visit again.

Right outside. It goes both ways. The reception will give you timetables.
Not stayed in any of the lodges but there is a well stocked lidls and Morrisons. Literally just down the road. Approx mile or mile and a half. Would suggest any stocking up is done there. Also on site shop and take away.
Yes - The Preston Gate Inn in the village of Poughill is a 10 minute walk and it serves a great selection of beers and wines and delicious food! It has live music too :-)
