Today I enjoyed a lovely outing here with family celebrating my niece's 30th birthday in great company at this superb venue with a breathtaking outlook. Sadly I was let down by the standard of service and the underwhelming and overpriced high tea. $47 for a basic selection.

Thank you for taking the time to review High Tea at Villa Howden. We are sorry to hear that you felt the service was not to a high enough standard, and we will take on your comments to make improvements. Our standard high tea is $39 and for an additional $8 you receive a glass of sparkling. Although we feel...

We stayed at Villa Howden last night. The brief was relaxation and that is just what we got. The pool was lovely, the high tea nice (and I'm not a fan of high tea), dinner delicious, beds comfortable and service faultless. We will definitely be back again. The price for the experience was outstanding!

Beautiful surroundings with a lovely ambiance. The meal could not be faulted. Great entree scallops. Also tasted my partner's quail. For main course I had lamb which was succulent served with kumera mash. My partner had the steak, cooked to perfection. The dessert was to die for. It was delightful to sit at a table that all six of us...

Vila Howden is set in beautiful grounds with stunning decor, sublime food and very attentive staff, all that you could wish for a relaxing and welcoming stay. It is really only accessible by car. We hired a car as we had flown in from Sydney. We used it as a base for our tours around Hobart. It is situated about...

We have just spent six wonderful nights at Villa Howden. We are truly blessed to have been able to stay in the Tower Suite. This suite has beautiful views over the water. The decor of the room was immaculate with French themes and furniture. The bed was king size and so comfortable. A beautiful bathroom with a huge claw bath....

I stayed here for business due to lack of available accommodation in Hobart, and will definitely revisit when next in Tasmania for personal reasons. Is a boutique hotel, with ten rooms only, in a beautiful setting, the Villa itself is a lovely building and has been decorated very tastefully with excellent attention to detail, but the defining point about this...

I have deliberately left some time elapse before adding my review on Villa Howden, through both the normal demands of life dictating that I have only now had the time, and to allow a fair perspective on my experience.
