Great place! The villas are just north of Ubud in a nice quieter area with only a 10 minute drive to get to downtown. My villa had a nice comfortable bed, a fully functional kitchen and a nice pool for cooling off after a day out sightseeing. There is also another shared pool perched above the valley with great views into the jungle below and some rice fields across the river. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Kadek makes a great breakfast. I had the fried rice and it was delicious. I highly recommend Bunut Garden.
We had a lovely stay in the two-person villa for six nights. You get a lovely villa with a beautiful garden, a long and deep pool, an outdoor kitchen, a good-sized bedroom, and a big bathroom with a bathtub. Villa has good wifi, water dispenser, which is a huge plus and privacy - nobody is bothering you when you are in the villa. They serve breakfast in your villa, and you can decide on the previous evening what you would like to have and when. The naming of the dishes is a bit confusing. Fried rice is actually nasi goreng and comes with an omelet, sausage, and chicken nugget. Then there are fruits, juice, and balinese coffee. The breakfast keeps you full until the evening. Other good things are the free shuttle service once a day that works between 10-22, and they provide a cell phone that you can use when you want to be picked. Also, the tour prices are competitive even though it's more like a driver for the day than a tour where the driver guides you. Many have complained about bugs and rats, and that's just something that you need to get used to if you are staying in the jungle and the villa. There are a lot of bugs everywhere and even in real luxury villas. In this villa, we found a dead cockroach from the bathroom, there were daytime mosquitoes (so bring mosquito repellent) and a rat looking animal in the kitchen. It's good to know that it wasn't rat (like what you can see in Ubud center), but it was a house shrew which is a rat looking animal, but it eats bugs. You should be OK if you remember to keep the doors closed and note how modest the normal people lives here. Don't make a big number about small insects and just enjoy your time. Another thing was the noise. They were building new villas, so there was a full contraction yard, but luckily our pool hid that noise. Unfortunately, I need to agree with another commenter that the roosters are really loud at night, and I woke many times during the night because of those animals. The service itself was sometimes excellent, but many times we had problems to understand each other. The level of their English is not that high. There were times when we complained about using broken bedsheets and small things like that. They come to clean when you ask them to, but they are not that initiative. This can be a plus if you want complete privacy. Once, we asked about possibly to move to the bigger villa for one night when we noticed that it was available through the booking site for 150 euros. They said that the upgrade would cost 100 extra, which was in our opinion, a rip-off. I don't know that much about the hospitality business, but I thought it would be better for them to rent the empty villa for a small fee than keeping it empty. In many places they even give free upgrades if the better rooms are empty. Still, we had a charming stay, but I would not call this as a luxury villa, especially when I have been in other villas within the same price range. You will get service, but I would not call it a luxury service. This was a suitable place for us, and we might stay here again if the price is right.…
Myself and my partner stayed here for 3 nights. Check in was rather confusing as we booked through booking.com and as far as we where aware we had paid. Staff said otherwise it was late arrival so we just paid so we could settle in our villa. (Still in Bali but will be checking this once I can get to my online banking) Villa was very nice, private pool although from the pictures it is misleading as you think you can go into the infinity pool. The room was cleaned every day, fresh towels etc. Breakfast - very strange food. You order the day before we only had it the once due to us having early starts. We asked for breakfast at 8.30 it arrived at 7.50 which wasnt a big deal. Breakfast was fresh but you got chicken nuggets with your breakfast?! We hired mo peds off the hotel, which was perfect. Advice to do this and drive to all the different sight seeing spots yourself. Worst thing about the hotel, NOISE. It really felt like your villa was in the middle of a farm!! Animal noises which sound like pigs??! The birds/ chickens/hens tweet all night long. They dont stop. We didnt get any sleep at all. The fountain in the pool is so noisy. If your a heavy sleeper you will have no faults. But due to be a light sleeper this ruined my stay at the villa. I left a bag of clothes mainly women clothes with the gents on check out hopefully these have been passed on to the lady who was very helpful on reception. Alot of flies and bugs, live very big cockroache in our bathroom thankfully found on the morning of check out. Please make sure you prepare for this. Plenty of bug spray!!!…
Had an amazing time in our villa with our private pool. Simple breakfast served every morning in the villa. Staff was great. Location is slightly further from town but they provide free shuttle once per day, which is great. Fair warning, the sound of roosters will greet you every morning but that didn’t bother us. Will be back!
It was my first time here at this villa early Nov .I find it really well kept and clean buttt..you can spot a few big cockroaches in the bathroom at night. Its not the cleaniness but i guessed they crawled from outside wall into the toilet. Do ask for insects repellent for roaches and mosquitoes they will be glad to lend u some. Me and my hubby couldn’t sleep well everyday because of the morning roosters were loud but thats how it is in ubud haha! I just love the whole place it was go green and luxurious. Overall everything was perfect except for the insects/crawly roaches and noises that woke me up at 6 in the morning. Thank you for the helpful staffs too ! Jesmine.
So this place is pleasing to the eye at first and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. However, it’s close to a mosque and the noise from that went on until 11 or so and then the next morning we were woken by roosters and pigs squealing at the top of their lungs. There is a farm next door. It was deafening and I asked to move. They moved us two doors down which seemed to help with the pig sounds but then I seen a mouse run out from under the fridge in the new one. I have to say that both of the rooms had curtains and bed canopies that badly needed washing. Laundry across the lane way so no reason they aren’t cleaned after each visit. I wouldn’t stay in a place that has kitchen and dining facilities outside again. And this place is 20 mins away from Ubud centre. Good thing we had our own scooter.…
The room, ambiance, hotel personnels, service.. everything perfect. it takes 15 minutes to go to Ubud center with motorbike. very good view garden. better breakfast than other hotels. They gave us 1 dinner for our honeymoon and it was great.
Before starting a big thanknyounto the staff Ngurah, Dek Na, Wayan, Guy in, Judi and Nyoman. If you are wanting a relaxing time with a loved one then this place gives you the opportunity to meet your needs. ROOM - Good size for a couple with bed very comfortable (king). TV had a selection of different movies, TV series, news but no sports. Bathroom is spacious with shower under laser light roof within pebbles and rocks. ROOM air conditioned to adequately cool you down. KITCHEN- Situated outdoors and undercover. Very clean with filtered watercavailable. Fridge was good medium size that met our needs with baby boy. Table for 4 with microwave and stove top. POOL - 1.9M deep and good size for a dip. The depth allowed pool to be cool and refreshing. The ambience of overflow water and lights makes for spectacular feel. ROOM SERVICE / FOOD - This was disappointing as was sourced from different kitchens around area so it was inconsistent. This was difficult due to having 14 month old to feed and food was different when ordering same items. Limited options as only traditional food available. LOCATION - Is away from main Ubud (10 minute) but this is not an issue as staff happy to provide shuttle service in and out of Ubud. Gives you chance to walk back streets and main road to meet locals and see day to day living of Balinese. STAFF - AMAZING! Not enough could be said about how they went above and beyond in having our needs met with 14 month old baby boy with us. PRICE - Excellent …
We stayed 6 nights in this beautiful accommodation and loved every minute of it. The villas are absolutely beautiful and the private pools are just wonderful to plunge into at the end of a hot day sightseeing around Ubud. The staff are very helpful and the villas are serviced every day. Breakfast comes with a good variety of choices and the food is always well cooked and well presented. The accommodation is some distance from Ubud but the staff provide a daily transfer service into Ubud and back. They even provide a phone so that you can call them and ask to be picked up. Excellent service. The sleep quality is excellent and the bathroom is large and well appointed. The room would be better if there was more hanging space and a room safe for security would be an improvement. More television channels would be good too. Apart from that we look forward to coming back again…
