Stayed here for 4 nights in Dec 2024 with my family. We booked two Pool Villas. It was low season in Bali, so the hotel was quiet and we hardly saw the other guests. In any case, the grounds are sprawling so I wouldn’t imagine the hotel would seem crowded at anytime. This is an excellent hotel, the rooms and the grounds are lovely. Service was impeccable throughout the hotel. The room itself was clean, the bed and linen was very comfortable, and they provided numerous glass bottles of water to keep you hydrated. The bathroom had a large stone bathtub in addition to a large shower. We had breakfasts and one dinner at the hotel restaurant. Food was very good in taste and value. The hotel is located outside the centre of Ubud, and the hotel offers regular free shuttles. The ride takes 20-40 minutes, depending on traffic. If you are the sort who prefers city-bustle and shopping, this may not be your best choice of hotel. But if your preference is more towards quiet elegance, expansive valley views and impeccable service, this hotel is an easy recommendation.

Great hotel, the rooms and the grounds are lovely. The service was very good and the staff were very helpful. The restaurant was very good they served a variation of dishes at very reasonable prices we chose to eat there every night. The hotel is outside of the centre but they have a shuttle bus that runs regularly and takes about 30 minutes. If you’re looking for quality accommodation in a quiet area I wouldn’t hesitate to reccomend.

That's not all, but he personally drove to the pharmacy and brought me the drug. That's what I call perfect service. Just great! The hotel complex is beautiful and tropical, everything is very well maintained and you can't get enough of the sight. All the staff you meet on the hotel grounds greet you kindly and always inquire about how you are and whether you feel comfortable. The pools are beautiful and you have them almost to yourself, you hardly see other guests. In the afternoon there is the possibility to enjoy free tea, coffee and some treats. A very nice attention! This was our first time Ubud so we weren’t sure what to expect.
We are seasoned travellers and the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we were more than happy with all aspects - friendly staff, good food, great massages nice interior and exterior design.
We had a jungle view suite which was spacious and nicely laid although some slight renovations are due, but nothing serious. The hotel was in a quiet location just outside the main town and felt quite private. We rented a motorbike which was useful and only cost £7 a day.
We will definitely stay here again and look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful, peaceful place, with incredible jungle valley views and grounds, a lovely mature hotel with gentle, professional and happy staff. We loved the little bit of distance from the town of Ubud, just right for us as it was so serene yet still connected. We hired a scooter and loved the freedom it gave us to go into town or surrounding areas, but there is also a shuttle bus and Grabs are easy and cheap. Our pool valley view villa was beautiful, peaceful and private, loved it. The Komaneka brand energy is in this hotel, there is artistry here.

This place is really exceptional. As many have said it is the staff in particular who are so lovely and make the place special. The location is great on the edge of a jungle valley and we had a valley pool villa with views over it. Some reviews say that it is a bit far from Ubud centre but with their complimentary shuttle this wasn't a problem for us - indeed we liked the peace away from the very busy town. Taxis are also reliable and reasonably priced. Food on site is very good and we enjoyed the cooking class that also took us to a local market. The spa was superb and we had fun at the batik class too. The hotel was happy to arrange a driver for a half or full day so we also used it as a base for trips out. We had plenty to do over ten nights and the only thing we were sad about was leaving. Highly recommended.

Expected a little more glamour (like better food & softer beds) but everything was OK. I guess we expected sexy and got a little more kid-friendly with babies shrieking at all hours. Villas have paper thin walls so expect to hear & be heard. Boy, did we hear…
The resort itself is gorgeous and and the grounds are very well kept. They sweep and prune and pick up leaves every day to make sure it’s gorgeous. The pools are pristine. I don’t think you can beat how pretty it is. I definitely recommend a villa with a private pool facing the jungle and rice terraces off in the distance. The villas were super spacious and the staff did a great job of cleaning, making beds/turndown derives when we were out.
Food was kind of “ehh” for lunch & dinner but breakfast was always good (you get quite a bit of bang for your buck if you do breakfast included).
The staff is amazing though. Everyone was genuinely happy to help and make sure you had everything you needed. Def recommend the tours they offer with a driver for day trips.
Bottom line, if you’re fine with a little bit of a lumpy bed, the occasional loud neighbor and kiddo, this is a true gem. We are cantankerous New Yorkers that sought quiet comfort on our honeymoon.

Amazing!! I really want to go back.. everything was just great, the driver that collected us, the reception staff, the manager that came to welcome us, the gardeners and maintenance workers … everyone is so friendly and really helpful. The hotel is just beautiful, we stayed in the 2 bed villa and it was super clean and tidy, with lots of little unexpected extras like bath bombs for the amazing deep filled bath. We had the bbq private dining 7 course meal in the villa one night and the food was amazing and they even supplied every meal for my 2 year old daughter aswell and were so kind to engage with her explaining the courses and encouraging her to try the new foods (which was helpful for our recently fussy eater) the swimming pool in the villa is great having a super shallow area for little ones. We felt the bedroom downstairs was too far away for my daughter to stay on her own so they kindly brought an infant bed in to the upstairs living room (as we already had a gorgeous wooden cot in our room for our 5 month old son). The hotel has a shuttle that takes you in to Ubud.. a couple of times we were the only ones so they offered to drop us where we needed rather than the usual dropoff point which was again so kind and made it easier with 2 little ones. They even gave my daughter a little gift when we left which she absolutely adored!

We had a lovely stay at Komeneka Tangayyuda. The staff were lovely and friendly, the villa and jungle/rice paddy views were wonderful and the breakfast/food was good too. I never thought I’d enjoy fried rice for breakfast but I am a converted woman!
It’s a little way out of Ubud city centre so it’s not the best location if you want to be in the thick of things, but we didn’t, so we didn’t mind this at all.
The staff and service was particularly impressive here. Nothing was too much trouble and every request was met with a smile. We loved the option of complimentary room service if we needed or fancied it at any point.
I’m sorry, I can’t recall her name but one lovely lady at the front of house arranged for us to have complimentary afternoon tea whilst we waited for our driver to pick us up to take us to the airport even though we had checked out hours before. This was, I thought, a brilliant example of excellent customer service. Thank you in particular to her!
My parents are hoping to visit Bali in the next couple of years and I have recommended that they stay here. We also hope to return one day!
