We just returned from 3-nights at KLVR, located on the banks of the lake with only a fence separating the property from the water body. The entire property has been recently renovated and refurbished (with additional cottages under construction). Running hot & cold water is always available in the attached bathrooms, bed / bath linen are clean and rooms are serviced every day. An electric water filter in the dining area makes drinking water available round the clock. DG power backup is prompt and supports the room air-conditioning. The property is not entirely built-up and concretized, offering plenty of open spaces for walking around. The food is freshly prepared, mostly basic regional cuisine. The staff led by Murthy are very helpful and polite, they make eye contact, smile and greet when met. The property has a variety of flowering and fruiting trees that attract a lot of birds. The Antharasanthe Range Forest Office, the starting point for the Forest Deptt. safari to the Rajiv Gandhi NP is about 5Km from the resort. Presently rides have to be booked in the morning and evening, only by physically reaching the office about an hour before the starting time. JLR located about 12Kms away, also organizes boat and forest jeep safaris that can be reserved in advance from KLVR. One has to ride their own conveyance to reach both the starting points. The connecting roads are currently in very good shape. The state highway from Mysore is currently in good condition. However, the last 1Km or so, to the property is unlit dirt roads through the scrub that may turn treacherous during rains. One has to follow the signboards to reach the property, navigational software often mess it up. Plan to reach the resort within daylight hours, in order to beat navigational confusion. Enjoy your stay at the resort with jungle safaris and proximity to nature, without expecting ‘star’ luxuries.

Food was delicious and the staff made sure everyone got their meals hot and fresh. We also noticed that the meals were customized to meet the tastes of guests. All in all an amazing experience

Very basic place, good food and good air which is just close to Kabini water lake. There is No access to the water bank/lake from resort and you will need to walk outside resort over a bridge and go further. Friendly staff and hence ok. But price vs Value - I doubt!

The first thing you fall in love is the awesome location, peace and tranquility that comes with it. The resort is located on the waterfront and offers a great view from the green lawns and dine out area. It is a great place for families with kids - they arrange coracle rides, have cycles to go around the property. The rooms are clean, well maintained and well equipped with no extra frills. Resort manager Murthy and staff are very helpful , polite and offer good service, they are also very knowledgeable about local area, forest and nearby places. The advice from them to drive to Bavali check post which is around 34 km from the resort was helpful. Its a beautiful ride through the villages and forest and you can chance upon seeing animals by roadside. Kabini Safari point is around 4.5 km from the resort. Food was included and was good, specially the chicken biriyani, egg burji, fried rice, coffee - the one thing that can be improved is the variety, overall would definitely recommend to all for a refreshing break away from the hustle and bustle of city life!

The first thing you fall in love when you drive through the gates is the awesome location. After two days at the resort I have fallen in love with the place, people and the peace and tranquility that comes with it. True to its name the resort is located on the waterfront and offers a great view from the common facilities. It is a great place for families with kids if quality time is what you are looking for The rooms are clean, well maintained and well equipped with no extra frills. The food was amazing and tasted even better coupled with the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. Pratap(both of them), Chetan, Ashok and Murthy deserve a special mention. We will definitely be back with family and friends
