We stayed here for a week in Aug 2020. While generally everyone was friendly and helpful during the day there was live music a couple times a week. Not something that we are against, we knew it would go on until 11pm - unfortunately one night it was still in full flow at 12.30 in the morning! Our pitch was probably the closest to the bar and restaurant, with 3 young kids it was impossible to sleep. The bass was ripping through our tent.

Our first night here was terrible. There was a party at the bar until 2 o'clock, noise remained until 3.30 in the night. Sleeping in our tent was impossible. Then, at 8.30 in the morning music started again, not sure why, probably for the employees themselves. It appeared someone of the village of Tuchan had celebrated their birthday. Of course we heavily complained. The other nights it was better, fortunately. But still, very strange for a camping to host parties. (And even: house rules told campers should be silent from 23.00...) The next day, I had to wait for 10 minutes at the bar in order to change our cooling ice for the coolbox. Also weird: the pool is stated to be for campers only, but is used by many Tuchan inhabitants as well. Apart from this, in all the camping has good facilities. So the camping is fine, but it seems like personnel and owners do not care about their sleeping guests; the visitors at the bar are much more important for them.

Excellent food, great pizzas and satisfying desserts. On vacation with 2 unsociable boys and one unsociable dad who didn't share his steak but we all is forgiven as I and the gang are having a ball. Service is soooooo excellent staff are above average. Good altogether. Irene

Firstly I cannot vouch for the camping facilities, however the plots seem spacious, cater for tents as well as camper-vans, and there are various facilities for kids play. Tuchan also has other facilities including an excellent baker, a cafe/bistro, great degustation, tennis courts, and a well stocked super market; I've not heard any complaints from any visitors. The restaurant is a pleasant experience and great value; the pizzas/calzones are excellent, good wine is available, and my understanding from friends is that other dishes are likewise good to eat (we are vegetarians). The kitchen is on full view, I like this is an outlet, it speaks of confidence, so it is no surprise that the staff are friendly and very helpful. This is a campsite and not fine dining, but it does what it does very well!

My family and I have been visiting La Peiriere for the past 7 years and it gets better every year. The owner, Yannick and his lovely children, Oce and Pierre, are always very welcoming and kind, as are the rest of their team. The food in the restaurant, particularly this year, is very good and the atmosphere is always fun. We often have friends to stay with us when in Tuchan and everyone always has a great time at La Peiriere. I can wholeheartedly recommend.
