Great biker hotel. This place is unique. The rooms in this old building are all themed and the whole place has a brilliant atmosphere. Harry makes everyone welcome. There is a good bar where you can party. Food is excellent. This was our fifth visit and not our last.

We stayed here in 2007 for a week as part of a bike trip to the region and used it as a base to see Oradour-sur-Glane and La Rochelle. We visited again this year in July for three nights - again as part of a bike tour. Up to that point we had been camping and had fully intended to...

Route 66 is a quirky fun hotel. It has garaging for motorcycles. A courtyard to park in for the motorist. Harry the owner has created a fun hotel with quirky rooms, at a very reasonable rate. If you want a beer or three Dirty Harrys Palais du Rock is on site. A good fun bar which often has good live...

Route 66 hotel is a maison de maître, loving restored and furnished by the owner, Harry, who is charming, welcoming and lots of fun! The rooms are comfortable and unique - each with it's own character. If that isn't enough, the restaurant on the ground floor, L'Ambiance, serves great food and has extremely helpful staff. Across the courtyard is Harry's...

We visited Harry's Route 66 on our way through Bussiere Poitevine, on our cycling tour from Cherbourg to Narbonne. Harry is great fun! Very witty and welcoming, and the Route 66 has a great atmosphere. My husband and I stayed in the hotel- very shabby chic in 'french' style with lots of space and a quirky bathroom. Our friends camped....

We have stayed here 5 times before, but only for one night on the way to the South. This time we stayed 3 nights, pushing hard after a delayed ferry to arrive in time for Fish and Chips and Quiz Night. Saturday night there was a live band a International DJ. On Sunday we meant to ride down to nearby...

This is our second visit for an overnight stay and as previous the hotel is a perfect way to enjoy a great night out in Harry's a Route 66 bar to watch live music. There is a lovely warm atmosphere and Harry is one of the most friendly hosts ever that we have experienced. The rooms are comfortable and his...

Shabby chic but a great atmosphere. Harry and everyone were so welcoming and friendly it was a pity we had to leave. We will be back! We had good food, great music and a live band, coupled with the fun and beer what more could you want. Bikes have covered locked storage but everyone is welcome at Harrys.

Thanks for the very nice review. It difficult to tell where traditional French style ends and 'shabby chic' begins, but as long as you were comfortable thats the main thing. (I think maybe you made a little mistake on the prices though cos a shared en suite room works out at 32.50 each) Hope to see you again soon, Best...
