The Swan provided both comfortable lodging and some of the best meals we had on our ten day trip to the UK. The room, number 2, had a floor-to-ceiling Juliette balcony that opened to a view of charming Wedmore, with beautiful budding trees, birds, and Georgian buildings. We were offered a warm welcome by host Millie, who ensured all of...

When we want a treat we go to The Swan. Good food, lovely staff and attractive bar, restaurant and gardens. Menu varies and ingredients well sourced many locally. Lovely summer or winter venue. In the centre of a pretty village

A lovely English Pub, excellent food - their locally sourced and locally made sausages are to die for! Good service and very friendly and helpful staff. My room (Number 1) was fine and loved the quirky touch of having the bath in the bedroom - but the traffic noise by day and the constant drone of some cooling system throughout...

This is a lovely hotel with just 7 rooms. We stayed in room 1, which is categorised as a "large" room. The room is large, with a proper wardrobe, two armchairs, a vanity table, plenty of space and a clawfoot, rolltop bath in the bedroom too. The bath has excellent water pressure so it filled up very quickly. In fact,...

We called into the swan for a drink at 10.40 pm to be greeted by the very young looking barman saying we are shut! With a bit of persuasion he gave us some drinks and we sat down. A few minutes later a couple walked and was given the same greeting, "bars shut" so with there heads down they left...

My husband and I stayed at The Swan for 1 night to break up a drive down to Cornwall from Milton Keynes. It was the perfect place for us to recharge. We found the pub on the Mr & Mrs Smith website, which we really love, and it was so reasonably priced for the room that we didn't hesitate to...

The room was lovely and big. The bed was very comfortable and the bath in the bedroom was a nice touch. The first night was a bit noisy due to customers sitting on the front of the pub smoking and talking until the early hours. The breakfast was nice but different dependant on which staff were working. Some days we...

Stayed in the wonderful loft room with a roll top bath, had a delicious meal in the restaurant and a great homemade breakfast. Staff were very friendly. Handy car park round the back. Couldn't fault a thing.

What a fantastic find! I can't speak highly enough of The Swan. My husband and I visited as part of our honeymoon trip and from start to finish, it was a great experience. The staff were lovely - very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable and huge, given the price. The food was delicious and prompt...

Stopping off after a walk around Cheddar Gorge and on a trip further south we overnighted at The Swan. The staff were absolutely outstanding, very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. The ambience in the bar was very welcoming and the restaurant food top notch. A brilliant break which curried great favour with 'she who must be obeyed!' Our...
