Well located accommodation in a quintessential English village ideally located for RSPB at Ham Wall for the wonderful starling murmurations, as well as Wells and Glastonbury. The Swan offers something different from your average hotel, just a little quirky with bath in the bedroom, though we had en suite shower room as well. The food is excellent, imaginative, well sourced...

My wife and I stayer at the hotel for 1 night. The room was faultless (room 2). Clean, tidy and beautiful. Both dinner and breakfast was delicious. Staff helpful and friendly. All in all it was perfect.

Stayed here for a few nights to celebrate a birthday and I can truly say it was a great experience. The staff were always helpful and attentive. The room we stayed in (Room 1 Large) was superb with all the mod cons and a freestanding bath in the bedroom. There is no minibar, but that was not a concern as...

Our room looked right out at the enchanting Cathedral in the beautiful old town of Wells. The room had a sitting area and a writingdesk and was quite spacious and the bathroom was well equipped as well. Breakfast was very good and dining was delicious. Lunch at the terrace with the view of the Cathedral was exceptional. The staff was...

The Swan had been much talked up by friends and so it was a tad disappointing to find that much of what they were trying to do simply didn't come off. The bedroom, for example. Yes, it was large but there was no wardrobe or drawers just a few hooks. I guess the wallpaper was meant to be quirky -...

We stayed in Room 3 a couple of weeks ago, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would describe the style of the decor as "shabby chic glamour" and although there are a few scuffed edges and signs of wear and tear in places, it doesn't take away from the decadent feel to the room. The roll-top bath in the room...

We were very impressed with the lovely loft room, it was warm, light and had a roll top bath and a shower. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful. A special mention for the lovely bread, and also for the softest bath robes ever. Our only small criticism was the rush to take the plates during...

The Swan was the venue for our recent wedding reception. They were fantastic, the setup and organisation was great, they were really flexible and helpful and had great ideas for drinks and food (which was excellent!). They helped us with other stuff like decorating our 'cake of cheese'. We also stayed over with friends and family and the rooms and...

Very friendly, helpful staff. The bedroom was large and beautifully furnished with a gorgeous large bathroom with roll top bath under velux windows. Lovely, good range of toiletries. Although there was no road noise, as the room was at the back of the hotel there were large extractor fans right outside the windows which woke us up in the morning. Breakfast...

Went there after seeing the good reviews and was very disappointed, I ordered a sirloins stake and couldn't even cut the thing, and wasn't cooked how I asked ! When the stake is £22 I would at least like to be able to cut it propley. The restaurant is done out lovely just shame about the food !
