We had a 2 night stay here in June, traveling with friends on our tour of the battlefields of the Somme. It is very centrally located and we chose to tour on cycles with a guide booked in advance which made for a very interesting trip. Marie and Bernard are the friendliest hosts and as we arrived Marie offered us...

Have stayed here three times. Fabulous place Bernard and Marie perfect hosts. It's a definite place to stay. Close to all monuments of the Somme battle fields. Close to the front line. Ideal position for researching the Somme and particularly the battle of Poziers.

Excellent in every way. Bernard and Marie are the warmest hosts who provide the best breakfasts, comfortable rooms each beautifully decorated and possess a very wide knowledge of their area. There are also facilities if you wish to cook for yourself. A home away from home.

We spent 4 wonderful days here - as tourists wanting to visit this area of France, for historical interest during the 100th anniversary of WWI, and to visit my Great Uncle's grave-site at Tincourt War Cemetery. Butterworth Farm was the perfect accommodation for us. The hosts, Marie and Bernard, are so very friendly and helpful, yet not intrusive. You could...

As a battlefield guide and historian, I am keen to find not only comfortable, value for money places to stay, but places that are on the sites of history. Butterworth Farm is on the Pozieres battlefield where the Australians suffered so badly in July and August 1916. Run by Maree and Bernard Delattre, it is ideally situated, clean, warm and...

I spent 2 nights in Butterworth at the end of February 2016 and can only agree with all the other favourable comments made here. Bernard and Marie are a lovely couple and very helpful not only with advice about the area but also in sorting out taxis and places to eat - as Pozieres is rather small! Marie makes some...
