Quite a busy pub, plenty of parking. Clean enough. Staff friendly and welcoming. The sharing nachos with the addition of chilli were excellent. Hubby had fish &chips very good, I had roast beef which was ok. Pudding looked good but we were full. We would eat again. We sat in the conservatory which was pleasant enough, but it looks out... We booked this room as it was near to our friends wedding reception venue. It's really easy to find, on the A603 not far from Cambridge. The pub itself looks as though it's had quite a bit of investment, it's light, bright and welcoming. We didn't drink in the pub as unfortunately it was closed by the time our taxi... More

We visited the pub for lunch today, Sunday. A young lady showed us to our table. She took our drink orders and then our food orders. We opted not to order any starters. It took about an hour for the meal to arrive. It wasn't as if the place was busy either and I can see why. Not once any... More

We stayed here for 1 night and really liked it. There are 2 twin rooms off the car park, really comfortable beds, very clean. We ate in and the food was good pub food. Breakfast was superb and cooked to order. Very friendly place, would have stayed longer if they hadn't been fully booked over the weekend. Reasonably priced for... More

I went with my family to have dinner on a Friday evening. The food choices were good and the food was a little above average. However, the service was lacking. Mari ( I believe that's how you spell it) was great. However, there was a younger woman and another lady who was pregnant (who seemed to be in charge) could... More

Very good basic accommodation at rear of pub. Only two rooms, but clean and accessible. En suite bathroom. Friendly staff, varied and tasty food, well kept ales. Dogs and children very welcome! Just a mile from Grantchester and easy drive into Cambridge.

Visited here having run out of driving time (lorry driver) and parked opposite in the lay-by. So l wandered across for a pint or two and was welcomed with a warm greeting at the bar. I had no cash on me except my credit card and asked could l open a tab? Which they kindly agreed. I ordered off the... More

We stayed 1 night with our 2 dogs. Our 2 rooms opened onto the car park so ideal for the dogs. The staff were very welcoming and happy to have our dogs in the bar. The beer was good and the pub restaurant had great pies as well as an extensive gluten free choice and good service. This is a... More

Initial thoughts on entering weren't particularly good. No-one behind the bar and had to go and hunt out a young girl who was clearing tables in the restaurant part of the pub. She was quite young and wasn't all that helpful. Another lady, who was a bit more friendly, showed us to the room. Completely separate from the pub and... More
