About 50 kms from udaipur, a beautifull scenic road among the rolloing hills passes through verdant forest alive with birds and fauna , this delightfull journey culminates at jhadol safari resort.set like a precious jewel, an emerald in desert country, this oasis is nestled in the foothills of the aravalis at the edge of a magnificant lake with gently lapping waters.jhadol ethnic culture is distinctly different from that of other parts of rajasthan. the royalty of the land has a special bond with the local people here, a forest dwelling warrior tribe with ancient lineage called the Bhils(aboriginals).rustically dressed cottage suites with traditional and beautiful appointed modern amenities like western stile bathrooms, a lake facing lounging balcony and a private family splash tub overhanging the lake makes for a wonderful experience quite unmacthed in this region. An infinity pool laping the lake waters fringed with velvet green lawns and a bonfire pit allow you to indulge yourself royally.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Onwards on way after Himmatnagar to Vijaynagar Road the road trip is excellent and after left Vijaynagar POLO forest the internal village road towards Jhadol Safari is exciting and the views was unforgettable in Arravali Mountains valley as side by side river views are Thunder pe Wonder.

An adventurous trip through under construction roads, clouds of dust, potholes and long winding pebbled pathways led us to the gates of Jhadol Safari Resort. The normal route to Jhadol about 50 kms from Udaipur is being converted into a highway and thus the bad shape of the road.
On reaching the picturesque resort that is located on the banks of Jhadol lake amid lush greenery on a lazy Saturday afternoon, we found it chock-a-block with guests from Gujarat. That’s the norm on weekends, I was told by the Manager at the reception. The check in was quick and soon we found ourselves in our magnificent large rooms. All the rooms of the resort are lake facing and are large and spacious with private balconies and corridors that lead to humongous bathrooms that have bath tubs. The rooms have TVs with DTH but ours were not receiving signals. On receiving our complaint, the staff came immediately but labored for nearly an hour to get the TVs up and running though in the mean time we soaked in the beauty of the place sitting in the balcony.
Usually, we were told, the water of the lake just about reaches the private balconies when full but this time around because of the lack of rains, there were just little puddle of water here there. That was a huge disappointment but listening to the melody of the flocks of various birds that quench their thirst in whatever little water was left in the lake and watching their activities from the balcony while sipping on our choice of drinks was an exhilarating experience.
The resort has an infinity pool which was full of people having a gala time dancing to the tune of music blaring from a music system. A small room with TT table and carom is also there. Going around the resort might be troublesome for people with dodgy knees or painful legs as to avail of most of the facilities one has to climb stairs. My mother gave up the idea of climbing up 2 flights of stairs to the restaurant for dinner. The staff was more than helpful and provided us room service. The manager even introduced me to the chief chef while I was placing my order for dinner.
When food came, the chef had pretty much done justice to what I had asked for while placing the order. The starters Chicken Malai Tikka and Paneer tikka were tender and flavorful. For main course we had butter chicken and the in-house speciality dhungaar mutton. The butter chicken was thicker and not the creamy buttery dish one usually associates it with but quite good. The wrapped burning charcoal piece placed on the copper utensil did its trick on the aroma and taste of the dhungaar meat. We retired for the night after having happily devoured the dishes with buttered naans and white rice.
The next morning I went around the resort and imagined what a spectacular sight it would be post monsoon when the lake is full. Greenery, lushness, serenity, spectacular views and water, what a wonderful combination it would be.
A buffet spread awaited us for breakfast. The spread was decent enough with cornflakes, fruits, lychee juice, tea/coffee, aloo-puri, paratha, pickle, eggs and toast and upma. Breakfast over, a quick round of ball play with the kids and we were ready to say adieu to Jhadol Safari Resort.
For our return, on the manager’s suggestion, we took another more serpentine, more scenic route through the valleys of Ubeshwar ji & Pipliya ji which though more adrenaline pumping, delivered us a much better quality journey back home, capping up a memorable trip to Jhadol Safari Resort.

Jhadol Resort is a wonderful vacation spot in Rajasthan. I went there in January of 2019. I was with a group of friends comprising a total of about 24 persons, ranging in age from 3 years to 84 years. The place is situated in a remote area in a rural location. We had driven as a group in several vehicles from Ahmedabad. The travel included state highway, reasonable inner city roads and the last leg over a countryside, small road which was sometimes difficult to navigate and had pot-holes. At places it was narrow enough to require backing off to let the oncoming vehicle pass. There are reasonable various eating places along the highway but none along the rural roads. It is advisable to carry enough food and water for that stretch. The resort itself is situated on a lake. All the rooms have a view of the lake. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and very good bathrooms. Enough hot water was available all the times. My bedroom had an anteroom leading into the bedroom. This provided a convenient space to park luggage, shoes etc. The rooms are in a two storied building. There is a garden with a path that runs along the entrances to the rooms. The other building has the reception/registration office, dining area above it and a game room in the basement. There is small terrace in front of the dining area which faces the garden at the ground level and the lake beyond. before the lake there is a swimming pool. The ground floor garden had tables, chairs and benches to sit and socialize. The service is very good and most requests are catered to. The cuisine is both vegetarian & non-vegetarian, including Gujarati, South Indian, North Indian as well as Rajasthani varieties. The fare is simple, without over powering flavors; however, includes adequate variety. There are a few short stairs that one has to use to go to various areas of the resort. Persons who are disabled or in wheel chairs may find it difficult, especially to go to the dining area. There is an adjacent farm owned by the same owners. The farm supplies all the stock for the restaurant, including milk and spices. Since the evenings were cool, portable fire places were supplied on the gardens to socialize around. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

This was our week-end trip. We started from Udaipur in the early morning around 7am. First we reached Badi lake after about 9km drive, a real silent natural beauty surrounded by mountains. Stayed there for a while. Moved on to Ubeshwar ji and Vaishno devi temples 12km drive, for darshan then further moved on. The road approaching Ubeshwar ji temple is very steep and hair pin bends on mountain, hence, a word of cautions to the new drivers! We had our own snacks which we had on the way. Next stop Pipliya ji another 7km. A rocky place high on hill with broad valley surrounded by high mountain a mesmerizing view, also a shooting place. We had our tea at this place. Next stop Keleshwar ji mahadev temple 16km. Another natural beauty and the very clean temple for darshan. During rainy season water falls from high hill is an eye catching view. Another 32km drive and at last we reached the Jhadol Safari Resort. We had our booking in advance. Very warm welcome with welcome drinks. We had our room on the first floor, spell binding view from balcony ... just staying above the lake with wide mountains all around. Good spacious room, equipped with modern amenities, clean and well maintained. Very calm, profound natural beauty all around. We took rest for a while, then went for the buffet lunch, pure veg. We had dinner in the evening. Buffet dinner. Generally veg but options of non-veg on request. Very delicious food with good quality and variety. Very courteous and helpful staffs all around. Overall an excellent outing experience! In the morning we had our buffet breakfast then started for Udaipur. Way back we took a different route. First we reached Sandol mata temple. This location is not visible on Google map! Internet does not work here!. Then to the Naal Sandol forest park for a while. Next stop Nandeshwar mahadev ji temple for darshan and finally way back home.

This resort is very superb and very big , if you have group of more than 6 people you must go here . Here the rooms are very big with an balcony view to the lake and balcony is having an open bath tub which is super , there is also an infinity pool , games , garden etc. About food it's ok ok but if you try to tell them that what exactly you want they will serve you , drinks are very costly here.

Travelled to and stayed in Jhadol safari resort for a couple of nights. The location is astounding considering the beautiful lake right next to the resort. However the approach to the place is slightly offbeat and one has to travel about 40 kms from in the internal roads through villages which are extremely narrow.Once you reach the resort the hospitality and warmth of the staff is awesome. They accord you with a warm welcome and the check in is smooth and quick. The rooms are however slightly dated and require a lot of maintainence, general cleaning is also an issue as we found lots of bugs and bees in the lamp shades on the walls. The rugs and sofas had stains and could be cleaned to achieve that freshness which was slightly lacking in the rooms.Coming back to the insects and bees,it could be considered normal having them in the rooms as this place is set in wilderness and next to a water body. The resort is not very big and has 25 rooms, found big groups of people from the neighbouring state who are known to be extremely loud and boisterous. Can be annoying sitting in the lawn or in the restaraunt. The chef is a gem of a person, knows his job well but belts out okish food which was at acceptable levels, nothing extraordinary. I would give a five on five for the staff, both house keeping and waiters who really toil hard to please you all the time. Would we go back a second time? I dont think so,they really need to tidy up the rooms, the fixtures and the furniture, then I am sure this place could be a jewel in Rajasthan.

Nestled between mountains and a lake, this beautiful resort in Jhadol, a town approx 50 kms. from Udaipur is a instant go for all those who love fancy food, serene surroundings and lulling luxury. Although my visit in Summer was a little unlucky because the adjoining lake was almost dry and the Mountains were all dried up. Apart from these things, the rooms are huge and lack no facility. The bathroom in some rooms and the balcony in others has an amazing bath tub overlooking the lake, offering the best hour of serenity. The balcony in almost all rooms overlooks the scenic lake followed by the mountains at its shore. The resort also has an infinity pool which served very dearly to me. The food was good and had a variety of dishes ranging from West Indian and North Indian cuisine in lunch and dinner to South Indian in the breakfast. The buffets had a good spread but lacked desserts. The staff was humble and kind but could be more well trained. Lastly, for all canine lovers, the resort has a policy to allow pets with almost no restrictions and has two of their own dogs which are fun to play with. For me, it's a must go but only in winters and monsoons...!

Excellent Place to Hangout with Friends and Family. It is a very quiet place, no where to run to, and delicious food. Chef is very kind & interesting person. The kitchen of Jhadol gives hygienic food. We love the food. They serve different cuisine each meal and very tasty. Rooms are specious and clean + all rooms having lake side balcony so you get the best view form your room also. Pool side view is also good but they don't have kids pool i did not like that They should build kids pool area. overall it is good place. You should visit this place in monsoon or winter season.

I visited this place about two week ago, lake is full of water and surroundings are priceless (see photos in my review) Swimming pools are officially closed but I saw people using it without anyone stopping them which was a bit surprising to us!
There are few approach roads and all of them are from Udaipur. The road from Udaipur to Jhadol is narrow and single lane. The nearest attraction is Udaipur.
There are more places to choose from in the Ganeshpura area.
