About 50 kms from udaipur, a beautifull scenic road among the rolloing hills passes through verdant forest alive with birds and fauna , this delightfull journey culminates at jhadol safari resort.set like a precious jewel, an emerald in desert country, this oasis is nestled in the foothills of the aravalis at the edge of a magnificant lake with gently lapping waters.jhadol ethnic culture is distinctly different from that of other parts of rajasthan. the royalty of the land has a special bond with the local people here, a forest dwelling warrior tribe with ancient lineage called the Bhils(aboriginals).rustically dressed cottage suites with traditional and beautiful appointed modern amenities like western stile bathrooms, a lake facing lounging balcony and a private family splash tub overhanging the lake makes for a wonderful experience quite unmacthed in this region. An infinity pool laping the lake waters fringed with velvet green lawns and a bonfire pit allow you to indulge yourself royally.

This is the place, serene, quiet, and welcoming. This place is 50 kms far from Udaipur and 240 kms from Ahmedabad, if you take, Ahmedabad - Himmatnagar - Idar - Vijaynagar - Bassi - Som - Jhadol route. The journey to the destination is scenic and without any traffic. We enjoyed the super-long drive.

Rooms

King size rooms and stunning views, can't expect any better. Huge bathroom, balcony and location generates that royal feeling. Rooms are well maintained and appointed.

Food

This is the best. My best compliments to the Chef. We took B/F, Lunch and Dinner in the package. Selection of dishes, taste and presentation was pleasing. This made our stay memorable.

Facilities

The infinity pool is well maintained and we enjoyed our time. However, we avoided swimming on next day as few other guests did not care to follow costume protocol at swimming pool. Management needs attention on such incidents. It is unhygienic. The wifi is very good.

Activities

They offer night safari. We spotted panthers, rabbits and fox. it is worth doing. Another pleasant surprise was SandolMata Dam, just 5 kms away from the resort. This was the best location to picnic. They have some high quality gear to climb and enjoy the view and well maintained gazebos to sit and relax near the flowing water body.

Overall, It was a memorable break complimented by good food, amenities and balanced by activities.

Would love to visit again.

Although it is a tedious narrow drive away from the main Highway and one feels having landed in the middle of nowhere, but once inside the resort, you feel totally relaxed. The property is on the shores of a fairly large lake with abundance of water birds. Owners have a huge farm surrounding the property which provides perfect ambience for long liesurely walks. Rooms are spacious and clean. All the rooms have verandahs overlooking the lake. Bathrooms have a full glass wall opening on the lake. Food spread is good. Negative features were the absence of Wifi connectivity and a proper Gym. Hope these features will get added in due course.

Great place to stay specially in winters as the lake becomes home for all the migratory birds since the property has a private lake...the jungle is also good and for a change one can take the night safari too

The resort is very excellent with a serene beauty view of the mountains facing the lake. This is just the resort where you want to completely relax for two odd days. Rooms are nice and huge with a lake facing view. Would recommend taking the rooms on the first floor Room 7,11,13,17. Had planned a trip with 8 couples all friends and we had a good fantastic time. The swimming pool is lake facing and the food is also very good. The only problem which is there, is that the last 50kms ride because the roads are not built good enough from kherwara village. You might take good 2 and half hours from there to reach the resort, so the best advice is to start early. The staff is very excellent with gr8 services. All and all i want to say if you been to this resort you will surely like to visit again.

We had gone with one more couple to spend our Diwali vacation at Jhadol. We had read trip advisor and were little wary about the food and the roads. The roads were not all that bad though the last 1 hour is bad but can be managed. When we reached place, we had some issues with the check in as we got one room which had the lake view and the other had a similar view but the size was half so we had some issue at the reception which was smoothly sorted out after explaining our problem to them. Now we had both the rooms which were good and had sufficient size. There was no problem of electricity failure as there was a generator back up. The place is beautiful with good lake view and total peace. If u are of the sort that u take a book and sip a glass of wine by the pool, you would not require anything else. Its just superb. We went for a nature walk in the evening and we were shown the organic gardens from where the veggies come to the kitchen and they have their own buffaloes for milk and dairy products. The whole property as a whole is very nice. We get amazing views of the property from the hill that surround it. I must mention that the food was really home made types and very very nice. I was not expecting a lot of options as its a safari resort but they managed it well. the butter chicken was excellent. Next day we went to visit the small village which was next to it and that was ok but then there was nothing more to do there so thought it was nice to just discover the rural side. The staff is polite and the owners are very humble. We met the king and the prince. They themselves manage the whole resort. Check out was smooth as well. The bar is also a good place to chill out. In winters you can have a bon fire and sip some of your favourite drinks. My family and my best friends family really had fun here. i would recommend families to come here but then one should not expect 5 star facilities. The good news is that the roads might get better in a year or so. One should carry your booze as it is expesive here and you might not get your favourite wines here. The LCD tv's have been installed in the rooms. Also there are 2 great danes which wont harm you even if they are freely roaming in the resort. there are no bugs in the room and we did not face any insects problem as it was winter. The showers had hot water and the flow was good. Bathrooms are nice as well. Would return here some day..........soon

Quite holiday for couple of days, nothing much to do but relax... Swimming pool is stunning infinity edge... Kids enjoyed. Roads leading to jhadol were still being constructed at the time, better to take the turn on road from near udaipur not earlier, if you are travelling from ahmedabad side. Value for price...

I visited this place about two week ago, lake is full of water and surroundings are priceless (see photos in my review) Swimming pools are officially closed but I saw people using it without anyone stopping them which was a bit surprising to us!

There are few approach roads and all of them are from Udaipur. The road from Udaipur to Jhadol is narrow and single lane. The nearest attraction is Udaipur.
