About 50 kms from udaipur, a beautifull scenic road among the rolloing hills passes through verdant forest alive with birds and fauna , this delightfull journey culminates at jhadol safari resort.set like a precious jewel, an emerald in desert country, this oasis is nestled in the foothills of the aravalis at the edge of a magnificant lake with gently lapping waters.jhadol ethnic culture is distinctly different from that of other parts of rajasthan. the royalty of the land has a special bond with the local people here, a forest dwelling warrior tribe with ancient lineage called the Bhils(aboriginals).rustically dressed cottage suites with traditional and beautiful appointed modern amenities like western stile bathrooms, a lake facing lounging balcony and a private family splash tub overhanging the lake makes for a wonderful experience quite unmacthed in this region. An infinity pool laping the lake waters fringed with velvet green lawns and a bonfire pit allow you to indulge yourself royally.

This is an awesome destination for your family weekend!
Please don't aspire of something extra ordinary from the resort! It is simple resort with some mind dazzling lake view.
Resort facility cleanliness is not up to the mark, somewhere the things are not made tidy as required but overall it does not affect your stay comfort.
Food was nice and tasteful. Only con in the dining is they have less option in beer, whisky, scotch, etc so i suggest you to take along with you the favorite drink you want to enjoy.
The road reaching to resort is passing through hilly area and the condition of road is not so superb, i suggest to drive in the day light rather than passing at night.
Not much activities are there to be done at the resort hence family going with more than 3 person can enjoy passing time in chit chat or by playing indoor games.

Overall nice place to be for max 2 night 3 days.

my title itself is very self-explanatory about my views of this resort. We visited Jhadol in Septmeber 2012. The weather was absolutely pleasant. However I strong recommend to visit after Monsoon hits Rajasthan/jhadol. The joyful drive of 40kms through small villages, hillocks after turning left from Udaipur-Ahmedabad is worth it. The location of resort is exceptionally marvelous, because we can't see any other human concrete construction till miles away, all you've is range of moutains in the backdrop & serene lake to welcome you. The Rooms has good ceiling heights which brings the taste of heritage interiors/ambiance. The management remains at top of their toes for any specific demands/request. For non-veg lovers you can inform staff to prepare "desi-chicken" its actually fresh & different taste. Advise to give a splash into the pool with few drinks by your side....you can gaze upon hills & lake for good time. Advise management team to do some more plantation on entrance & can do much better on landscape in certain pockets of resort. Overall....it was a good change from usual Udaipur trips.

We stayed here for three nights around Christmas 2012. The drive was spectacular even if a bit bumpy. It is an hours' drive south of Udaipur, and gives one the chance to stay away from the usually busy touristy places in the city.
The resort itself is set in a pretty location, looking over a small lake in the village of Jhadol. However the term "safari" in the name is pretentious. They take you on a jeep safari for an extra charge, and the animals you might see are foxes, jackals, hares etc, don't expect a leopard or even a deer!
The food is decent, the staff are very good, always eager to please.
Our main grouse was the accomodation itself. While the room was big, spacious and well located, looking over the lake to the east, offering great views of the sunrise, the whole experience was soured by an awfully terrible stink in the bathroom. We brough this to the the attention of the owner, who in fact seemed to be aware of the problem, becasue as soon as my wife mentioned that there was a problem, he immediately asked " the smell in the bathroom?" He offeered to try and change our room, because there were a few guests checking out that day. However we heard nothing since, and in fact never even saw him again ! If there were no other rooms to swap with we would have understood, but what irritated us was that there wasn't even as much as an apology from anyone, leave alone an explanation.
I think we took the soft option of being nice, and just stayed put, trying not to make too much of an issue of it, but perhaps we should have. At the end of the day, the owner wouldn't have a smelly bathroom in his own home would he? Why did he expect us to put up with it?
We ended our holiday in Rajasthan with this stay, and it could have ended on a much nicer note. I hope the owner, who is from a local royal lineage, will show the decency and sense of hospitality for they are well known, and will not subject future guests to the kind of experience we had.

Nice property, serene and with good views. Very helpful staff as well. Food was just about average but nevertheless was good.

On our first night the hotel was under attack from stink bugs and it was a scary affair. The staff tried their best in cleaning up the rooms and almost switching off all lights but still it was not much of help. We were told that it was for the first time something like this had happened and hence they were not prepared for it however I have my doubts and feel they might have forgotten to take the necessary precautions to avoid such attacks from bugs.

Beyond the first night adventure with the bugs we (about 14 rooms and around 50 of us) had a good vacation for 3 nights. The surrounding mountains offer a good trek as well if u wish to rough it out a bit. The swimming pool offers beautiful view but a little more hygiene levels in filteration may do wonders to its utility.

All in all a property which has its own plus and minus, weigh it before u plan your next trip.

An excellent place to visit and relax. The road to reach the property is not in the best of the condition but once you reach the resort, you enjoy excellent views.
One morning we went to the adjacent hills. That landscape is beautiful. Food was good and as mentioned by couple of other folks, the hospitality at the resort is very nice. As much as possible, they will feed you what you like.
The only downside for us was that on second day, all 4 of us come down with stomach infection so the trip back home turned out to be a long one. Luckily we had a doctor in the group who took care of all patients and brought us back home.

Spectacular Resort!!

i'll advise all those who want to relax amidst natural and breathtaking beauty to visit this resort.
I had promised the owner i'll visit again, i was so impressed with the resort, this guy, he made sure, i was attended to all the times.
the property has huge-massive rooms with even bigger bathrooms with even bigger bath tubs .. and everything facing the lake..!!!

and upon inquiry, he told us, he had single handedly designed the entire resort.. i was truly impressed, its a fantastic property..!!
would recommend all to try the chef's specials..!!
and take the nature trails that the resort provides in the orchards..!!
Best is.. he has gone green & made it a eco friendly and self sustainable with its own organic vegetable garden and dairy ...!!

It is a fantastic view from the Beautiful Rooms and Very good food. Normal Homely Food. tempting Swimming pool. Roads are bad but it is worth once you reach there. Hospitality of the owners were excellent. They would be courteous to ask us everytime for the meals of our choice. They had a very limited menu due to the location of the resort. Overall an excellent place for a weekend holiday to get out of the hustle of a city and just relax.

As other frequent travelers – I do not appreciate surprises. The hotel does not advertise their demand for 25% immediate advance on their reservations via booking.com site. Was surprised to hear multiple demands for immediate advance for a potential booking months away. Given last minute business travels it is hard for customers like me to plan a vacation a month ahead. Explained this need – the response was PAY 25% IMMEDIATELY OR CANCEL. I canceled.

If this is their initial interaction – one can only imagine their customer service after arrival.

(Note: I cancelled my trip for Dec 2018 – The trip advisor site has a mandatory trip date field and hence selected Dec 2017)

Worst experience anyone could ever have, staff was arrogant and negligent towards their duty, they have no idea how to talk to people. They even threatened us because we gave them a bad review, he asked our address. I would strongly suggest their management to hire some educated and humble staff. Don't go there with family. Even pool, food and room are way too much expensive.
And one last but not least thing that one guy most probably their manager Mr. Purabiya is most rude man i have ever seen. Poor guy had no idea that one of us is an RAS and other one was a doctor.

There are few approach roads and all of them are from Udaipur. The road from Udaipur to Jhadol is narrow and single lane. The nearest attraction is Udaipur.
