About 50 kms from udaipur, a beautifull scenic road among the rolloing hills passes through verdant forest alive with birds and fauna , this delightfull journey culminates at jhadol safari resort.set like a precious jewel, an emerald in desert country, this oasis is nestled in the foothills of the aravalis at the edge of a magnificant lake with gently lapping waters.jhadol ethnic culture is distinctly different from that of other parts of rajasthan. the royalty of the land has a special bond with the local people here, a forest dwelling warrior tribe with ancient lineage called the Bhils(aboriginals).rustically dressed cottage suites with traditional and beautiful appointed modern amenities like western stile bathrooms, a lake facing lounging balcony and a private family splash tub overhanging the lake makes for a wonderful experience quite unmacthed in this region. An infinity pool laping the lake waters fringed with velvet green lawns and a bonfire pit allow you to indulge yourself royally.

Me and my husband visited the place on 25-26th March 2015 i.e.on working days and we found it very peaceful and calm place.Good for two-three days mini vacation.

LOCATION:
The property is surrounded by small mountains and a lake.Quite interior from the main road which is how ever a small road leading to village Jharol. we didn't hear a single vehicle horn or mechanical noise in our two days stay.My husband was lucky enough to get the mobile signals.
Way to Jharol:
It is aprox.245 kms from Ahmedabad. We choose the Khervada route. Up to kherwada there is a fourlane highway with good surface. The resort is 73kms away from Kherwada ,and the surface of this road is very poor.It took two hours to cut 73 kms. Resort management has put many signboards showing the way at each critical junction. While coming back we opted for Rishibhdev route, the surface of that road is not so bad. (Can't Say good). However we enjoyed driving in the hilly road watching the marble rocks piping out from the hills.
IMP- The only gas station available on the way to the resort is aprox 70kms from Kherwada so
it is advisable to check the fuel before leaving Kherwada.
THE PROPERTY:
Rooms are specious (aprox. 14x18 ft) with equally specious gallery facing the lack.Bathroom with dressing room is also specious. All the rooms are beautifully located facing the lake and the hills. Swimming pool is small (16x30 fts aprox) but it beautifully camouflages with the lake enhancing swimming experience.
Water level in the lake was less as summer was started. Even though we were able to see and distinguish different kinds of birds in the morning.
FOOD:
Taste is very personal phenomena but we liked the taste.Food was good but served with due care and love - that tempted me to rate it excellent.Traditional dinner of Dal-Bati-Churma was excellent. It is better to opt all inclusive package as the resort is in remote area and there is no good food junction nearby.
Activities:
Hiking and Birdwatching can be done. But the best thing is to relax - listen to your favourite classical music- read your favourite author- feel the sound of nature- listen to the sound of peace!!!

Hi,

In last one year I had traveled for more than six times but this trip was the worst.

We have booked this for five people. The roads are badly damaged. I would like to suggest everyone if you own a SUV then only plan a trip to this resort. At the entrance of the resort there is no board and the land is fully broken.

The only feature they have is endless swimming pool that is also not that much impressive. If you don’t have your own source of entertainment you will get bored. No TV and no other activity.

Plus pack your bag for food as they have very strict norms for it. You will feel like you are back in a hostel I mean if you didn’t had your lunch before 2 in the noon you will get nothing same in the night no food after 10. And the location is of such kind you will not get anything in 20 kms not even medical help. They were not able to serve 5 people for food I really doubt how they will manage if they have more guest and the quality is also not fresh. They don’t even have a menu. NO room service their rooms should not get dirty.

About service it’s the worst service I had ever experienced, where if you tip the waiter it’s your fault. They don’t understand the word hospitality. You can imagine we left that place in two hour. We reached there by 5 in the noon and left the place by 7 and they were not ready to guide us regarding the directions to other city. In the night you will hardly find people on the road who can guide you thanks to out GPS device that we safely reached Mount Abu. This is a family run resort no one really cares about the guest more important are there personal ego like if you are talking the management didn’t liked it they will walk away and feel proud about it.

Regarding the rooms, bathrooms at entrance mattress are smaller than beds.

I will never suggest anyone to plan for this resort, if it would be last tourist destination then don’t go for vacations.

It was a heavenly destination once we reached there after an ordeal over the very bad 70 kms drive from the main highway.travelling by coach/bus is a strict no..the resort is in an excellent locale with a great view of mountain and lake.the rooms are spacious and have a full glass view bathroom opening on the lake with large splashtubs.but hot water system is very primitive..almost non existent.the pool is good with a nice view.the food is fresh but beware of drinking water..our whole group got gastro upset the next day..they have good bonfire arrangement and short nature walks..overall a good place to go with group..not alone..provided you can bear the ordeal of bad roads.can be visited once.

The Jhadol Safari Resort, is a serene escapade for nature lovers. It is an ideal place for a short holiday.
The hotel is relatively quite new, with plus average luxury, that you might not complain for.
Its quite and scenic view, overlooking the lake with lots of ducks, and hilly surroundings, not affected by traffic and crowds will appeal to the nature lovers and photographers.
For those carrying their camcorders with telescopic lenses, and tripods, the slow motion photography of kingfisher, picking off a small fish, or swallowing it off the branch of the near by bush, or the small quick duckling steps on the water, to take the flight, will take you a little closer to these shy species.
Or it is just a perfect prescription for the honeymooners.
whatever our reasons, these are things that perhaps might cumulatively give, the peace of mind that we search_ away from the huss and buzz of the daily chores.

I have travelled to several resorts worldwide, can easily rate this as one of the top few.
i can easily say that its a hidden gem and a family run team so there is a personal feel in the services they provide.
and pamper the guests, with our kids we went on bird trails and had a great time, we saw lots of bird species and kids just loved the nature trails.
we were treated with sundowners every single day, basically, we went as strangers to the owner and left as family to the owner
have taken lots & lots of photographs, property is truly beautiful specially in a desert state, surrounded by lakes & mountains on all sides.
will certainly-certainly visit again, its half the price of most other resorts of similar nature.

We stayed in Jhadol for two nights and three days. Although it was peak summer season in Rajashan we forgot about the heat as soon as we entered the hotel premises. The rooms are large and clean and the bathrooms have huge bath tubs overlooking the beautiful lake of Jhadol. The place is apt for a nice and peaceful weekend getaway with family and most of all we can get to be close to nature. The resort is an eco friendly resort and the lake is very clean and we can see amazing species of birds from the resort. They have a lovely swimming pool overlooking the lake which is the highlight of the property. The food tasted excellent and the service staff was also good. The owners are extremely hospitable, they had arranged a night safari and trip to beautiful orchards in the vicinity of the resort. Over all, the trip was very relaxing and we hope to go again in monsoon or winters.

An amazing place, and welcome bit of relaxation from the bustle of the cities over our two week trip to Moss house in Rajistan! Beautiful hotel in the most incredible setting - and the food is superb too!

Incredible service and would love to return one day. Cannot recommend it any more highly. Not to mention the fact they have the biggest dog i have ever seem in my life!

The expereience of living at Jhadol was excellent. The rooms were huge for little kids to play around.
Bathrooms :- What a view! breathtaking, i wish we could have gone a few months later, may be after the rains, it would have been heaven.
Food:- Mouth watering, especially dum aloo, mutter paneer, aloo paratha.

The only drawback about the place, is its road, the last hour and a half is really bad, but yet worth taking the ride for the experience u get at the resort. Plus the raillings in the balcony and the tv room are way too big, they need to be made intricate so its safe for children to move around without assistance or put lots of plants near them, to make it more safe. If travelling without children, the place is even more relaxing.

Total waste of money..overestimated prices..arrogant staff and manager..
not safe for couples and children..
even manager threatens people by making calls to them if they post review based on their experience..
Such scenic view can b easily found nearby udaipur city then why to danger yourself by traveling on a road which is very remote without mobile network and tribal area..
Worst nightmare..!!!
I suggest not to go there and destroy your mood..!!!

This is an awesome destination for your family weekend!
Please don't aspire of something extra ordinary from the resort! It is simple resort with some mind dazzling lake view.
Resort facility cleanliness is not up to the mark, somewhere the things are not made tidy as required but overall it does not affect your stay comfort.
Food was nice and tasteful. Only con in the dining is they have less option in beer, whisky, scotch, etc so i suggest you to take along with you the favorite drink you want to enjoy.
The road reaching to resort is passing through hilly area and the condition of road is not so superb, i suggest to drive in the day light rather than passing at night.
Not much activities are there to be done at the resort hence family going with more than 3 person can enjoy passing time in chit chat or by playing indoor games.

Overall nice place to be for max 2 night 3 days.

There are few approach roads and all of them are from Udaipur. The road from Udaipur to Jhadol is narrow and single lane. The nearest attraction is Udaipur.
