About 50 kms from udaipur, a beautifull scenic road among the rolloing hills passes through verdant forest alive with birds and fauna , this delightfull journey culminates at jhadol safari resort.set like a precious jewel, an emerald in desert country, this oasis is nestled in the foothills of the aravalis at the edge of a magnificant lake with gently lapping waters.jhadol ethnic culture is distinctly different from that of other parts of rajasthan. the royalty of the land has a special bond with the local people here, a forest dwelling warrior tribe with ancient lineage called the Bhils(aboriginals).rustically dressed cottage suites with traditional and beautiful appointed modern amenities like western stile bathrooms, a lake facing lounging balcony and a private family splash tub overhanging the lake makes for a wonderful experience quite unmacthed in this region.An infinity pool laping the lake waters fringed with velvet green lawns and a bonfire pit allow you to indulge yourself royally.

Nice property, very helpful staff and food was awesome. if you want some staycation with some adventure then must visit place. you can enjoy pool, garden jungle safari to see hyna and leparod. you can also enjoy boating.
Best time to visit the place from Sept to Feb.
As resort is in outskirt area and you are travelling with kids or senior citizen keep their routine medicine box, else you need to walk by 2.5 km to get something.
One Suggestion to resort management :- Please provide Door Eye in room so we can see who is knocking/ringing the bell. it required for safety of female as people are coming here for drink and enjoy and there can be chance to happen some unwanted incidents.
Overall if you are visiting then you will enjoy your staycation.

A beautiful resort situated in the middle of the forest. The beauty of this place is it natural ecosystem that surrounds the property. Very homely and welcoming staff, they are the asset of the property. The night Jungle safari is a must try. We were lucky enough to spot foxes , hyenas and leopards. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake.
Suggestions: The reason I gave 4/5 was. 1.Food - Although the food was good, but coming down to Rajasthan we would have loved if the spread had local delicacy. Also the non veg options is very very limited. 2. The prime attraction of the resort is its natural ecosystem but allowing people to blast their music, not only hampers the peace but disrupts the fauna reliant on this ecosystem.
Personally, if I wanted to hear or enjoy loud music, I would've stayed in the city only rather than come over to secluded spots like this.
Tips for the future traveller -
1.As it is a very small village do carry your emergency stuff like medicine. 2. It is a place to cut off yourself from your regular routine (having a strained network connectivity boosts mental peace)

Situated in a village near Udaipur but I would now stay at this place only whenever I am in Udaipur. The reasons are listed below: 1. The resort is located just beside a lake and has an infinity pool. 2. The rooms are too spacious with jacuzzi. 3. Excellent service
The only which they need to work on from my perspective is the taste of food, rest all is perfect.

Resort is good, service is good. However we had some bad experience with F&B manager at Dinner. May be this could be personal.
Generally the approach of resort is non professsional. They have a Pet Dog Tiger who roamed in the resort and came inside the rooms also. Even after asking them several times they didn’t keep him tied. People like us who are afraid of pet find it hard to stay in such places. Also bathroom and bed room are average like a normal 3 star property.

Stunning location surrounded by water and mountains. They have good rooms with huge balcony with breath taking lake view.
Overall good experience but cleanness needs to be improved. Rooms are big but ordinary.
Comfort level was good, Food was average, cleanness was average, Staff is kind and helpful.
Worth going on walk in the morning and evening to enjoy breeze and stunning views.
P.S. roads to this village are adventurous.

Jhadol Safari Resort is a fabulous option when you want to go to Udaipur but stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Jhadol is about an hour's drive away, nestled next to a beautiful huge lake and is great when you don't want to burden your holidays with too much to do. The rooms are spacious (all of them have a lake view), the pool is great and well maintained, the staff is very courteous and prompt.. and the food by Chef Mohan is delectable as ever!.. you'll never feel the need to check out other food options in the vicinity (which is great, because there are none!).. I'd highly recommend Jhadol Safari Resort for a 2 night stay (minimum).

I regularly visit Jhadol Safari Resort, you may not find 5* luxury there but it's worth visiting. Pros: Good food, Great location next to lake/reservoir, in monsoon it is more enjoyable. The rooms are huge and clean. Very friendly staff and great hospitality. Cons: Haven't observed any.

If your looking to just have some time to yourself , chill by the pool side with an amazing view, this is the place to come. The food is good , rooms are spacious , the property is clean and well kept. It has an Infiniti pool with a view of the mountains. Most of the rooms are lake view and that is the best view. I was here on work but I did chill at the property post work and was lucky enough to take a dip in the pool just before sunset ! They have 2 jeeps and you can go on a safari too .

wow. what a place to spend an anniversary. my wife arranged a surprise 4 day visit for our anniv. i did not know where we were headed till i reached this place. stunned i was. the road is very bad- probably that keeps the crowd away- thank god. the location is exotic. the lake was teaming with birds. the rooms and even the BATHROOMS hav grt views. the staff were prompt and courteous. the room spacious and welldone. the food was excellent. the menu is a bit limited but that means less hassle in deciding. We had taken our challenged son with us and the staff made extra efforts for his comfort. the management didnt charge for his stay and food! all in all a place where u can hear the sound of silence. not for those who cant relax! the night jungle safari was a grt experience where we sighted hyaenas, foxes, rabbits, night jars from the open jeep. they also arranged a wonderful table for our candle light anniv dinner! go there if you can take chill pills for 3 days in a row!

Jhadol is about 75 minutes from Udaipur. The drive there is through lovel rural countryside and villages so makes a great contrast to bustling Udaipur. The bird life on the lake is excellent and the lake itself very beautiful. Our room was large and very comfortable - quite simply decorated. - and it was lovely to sit on the balcony listening to all the bird life on the lake.The staff at the hotel were all very helpful and the food was very good. Definitely recommend it for getting some peace and quiet especially if you like birdwatching. The hotel will organise expert guides at a reasonable rate and this was well worth it as they took us to a number of different habitats and we saw a wide variety. We hired a driver for our 2 day trip and the hotel was able to provide him with free accomodation. The driver was Munna and I would definitely recommend him for a trip like this or indeed for trips in and around Udaipur. +91-995-0240-150.

I visited this place about two week ago, lake is full of water and surroundings are priceless (see photos in my review) Swimming pools are officially closed but I saw people using it without anyone stopping them which was a bit surprising to us!
There are few approach roads and all of them are from Udaipur. The road from Udaipur to Jhadol is narrow and single lane. The nearest attraction is Udaipur.
There are more places to choose from in the Ganeshpura area.
