This amazing posada nestled on the hillside will blow your senses! Set at 1400m the temperature is cooler than the lower (hotter & dustier) villages and the views in all directions are sensational. My wife and I spent 5 days at El Encanto this last summer. The place is in a beautiful location, nestled in the mountains, about an hour from the city of Barquisimeto. Posada El Encanto is a wonderful place, far away from the noise and dirty air of the main cities. The rooms are located in individual cabins, with terracotta roofs, the view from the rooms is fantastic, a fertile valley between mountains. The gardens are delicate designed with flowers of multiple colours. As if this is not enough, the posada's staff...

We stayed for 2 nights while on a visit to the area from Caracas. The posada is in a lovely location with great views from the rooms and main building. It is a little away from things but this is both good and bad. The owner is very friendly and helpful; the even helped bring a mechanic to look at...
