Whilst travelling I suddenly needed an item from Amazon and asked the hotel if it could be delivered to them. They readily agreed and were most helpful. Nice to find a dog friendly pub in this area and that a real ale was available. Thank you Nithsdale Hotel

My partner & I stayed for 2 nights B&B. The room was very small with no door to separate the bathroom & bedroom, however I think this door was removed to maximise space (there is a door in the toilet). The room was clean & although the bathroom was tiny the shower worked fine. There was no fire safety information...

I stayed here with most of my immediate family for a special family weekend. The rooms were good. The breakfast food was delicious and the food served in the bar and the restaurant was lovely. The staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Stayed for 2 nights, the hotel is on the main road and this unfortunately meant disturbed sleep and you were awake every morning very early with the large heavy lorries going by. The young waitresses are very friendly and helpful and nothing seems too much trouble for them. We had one evening meal which was very good and two breakfasts...

Was here for weekend for ride of the marches. The bar staff were very helpful and efficient. Had Sunday lunch here too. It wasn't expensive there was a good choice. The only 2 things that let it down was the potatoes ( 1 roast & 2 boiled ) and no horse radish was offered with the beef. Apart from that...

We went with our dog for an anniversary break. We were greeted by the resident hotel dog which looked white and cuddly, but it immediately started nipping at the heels of our dog,and that continued every time we came into contact with it. We got no door key until 7.30 in the evening because one of the staff had it,and the room...

Work still being done but not a problem. Room clean but very small toilet, shower cubicle and basin open to the bedroom. Nice staff and very good breakfast. Typical small Scottish town another two bars in the town but not good. Good café over the road. Lead mine worth a visit

40Ł per night in truly big room with small bathroom. Free wi-fi, including breakfest. Very nice staff. Close to train station and not far to nearest shop. And very good choice if you want go to see Cravick Multiverse. One of my best "one night stay" hotel.

We went here or a meal with our 15 month toddler. The hotel's restaurant is nicelt decorated and comfortable with no intrusive music. The menu choice was broad and Scottish with a separate children's menu which included pictures to colour and the use of wax crayons. The meals were superbly cooked, well presented and arrived in a reasonable time. The...
