My Fiance and I visited for two nights (Friday & Saturday) with our dog. Due to our circumstances, we arrived at breakfast time on the Friday and asked if we could leave our baggage and return later to check in. Very generously, we were given access to the room straight away and then invited to sit down for breakfast before...

A valentines day treat, Bed Breakfast & Evening meal all for £120, for two, excellent value. Rooms beautiful, if not a little chilly, that was soon rectified by turning up the Radiators. Lovely hot powerful shower and comfy bed. Evening Meal fantastic, top quality food. Breakfast also great Will definitely be returning

Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings; accommodating hosts and gorgeous food. We brought our dog and he was made to feel very welcome-he was allowed to join us for dinner and breakfast, in the bar area. We are vegans and the hotel made us our own vegan menu to choose from. The food and wine were delicious and we'll definitely be...

Stayed a night at this hotel. Disappointing. Decor needs badly updating. Dinner - two courses took one and a half hours - most of it waiting for food to arrive. My wife ordered the goats cheese with figs, whilst it tasted fine, there were no figs bur Kiwi fruit - no mention of this by the waiter. Just as well...

Good value hotel. We stayed during very cold weather after Christmas and I was a little apprehensive that it would be cold, but I was pleasantly surprised how warm and comfortable the hotel was for an overnight stay. The room was very large and the breakfast was delicious.

Set in beautiful countryside, and a good base to visit Derbyshire from. I received a warm welcome upon arrival. My room was delightful and well equipped. My evening meal was excellent, as was the Alison House Special breakfast, which I heartily recommend. I will definitely stay again.
