What a view and what a welcome. Fantastic rooms overlooking the sea and the gardens. We had paddled nearby on a seven day kayak trip through the Cinque Terre area with Southern Sea Ventures. Villa Bari provided a sumptuous feast with meats that they had cured and the traditional Genoese basil pesto and pasta. Followed by delicious dessert and washed...

Our family stayed in rustic Villa Bardi in July of 2014 as the end-cap to a one-month trip through Italy. Prior to Riva Trigoso, we were in Venice, Rome, Naples, Assisi, and Florence. We were traveling with other family members throughout Italy as part of my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary Trip. Everyone was exhausted from all the travel, so Villa...

“Ask for room with a view. Not all rooms were at the front.”

“We stayed in rooms 6, 7, 8 & 9. (Note, rooms 8 & 9 are joint rooms, sharing one bathroom.) The rooms were clean and comfortable. Room 6 had the best view, room 7's view was also good. Rooms 8 & 9 did not have a view, in fact, overlooked the service area behind the villa. (This was not a big deal for us, as we spent most of our time outside our rooms.) Another note about the rooms was that it was very hot during our stay. I would advise the owners to install ceiling fans in the rooms. This would help them maintain the rustic feel of the villa, but also provide a little bit of air/circulation to combat the heat.”
