Detailed Reviews
Agusta Dive Resort is a perfect place to stay. The fine nature and very nice staffs is a good combination. The location is perfect for diving with many spectacular dive site a short boat ride away. Dives are well planned (even this unpredictable weather) and really cater to the level of experience of the individual diver.

We have just left, reluctantly, this fantastic island. Let's start from the location of Pulao Agusta, which deserves a solid 10, right in the heart of the Raja Ampat archipelago and equidistant from the most famous diving spots. The island itself is extraordinary, with a dazzling white sand beach and coral reef surrounding it, a delight for snorkelers and divers who are guests of the resort. People certainly come here for the diving but even the snorkelling guests have magnified the experience they had. The dives: we did 29 of them, all in different places, all very beautiful. Truly magnificent for the variety of hard and soft corals and reef fish are Melissa's Garden, Blue magic, Cape Kri, Yenbuba and Citrus Reef. Dayan to see oceanic manta rays, gigantic compared to those seen in the Maldives. Sawandarek for turtles. Don't miss the "home" reef called Marco's and Mara's Reef to enjoy a beautiful night time or shark feeding. A special mention to our dive masters Sandy, Ari and Nickson for their professionalism, kindness and for making us appreciate all the biodiversity present, from the tiny pygmy seahorses to the wobbegong shark (or carpet shark), the bamboo shark and the walking shark. The resort develops along the beach, with the beautiful pier in the center from which to admire the sunsets (and the black fins), the diving center and the restaurant. We were in a Raja bungalow, the simplest but so comfortable (with air conditioning) that we didn't want the larger superior and deluxe bungalows. The cuisine alternates Indonesian and Italian dishes, the lasagna, tagliatelle with meat sauce and spaghetti carbonara are truly excellent! Considering that you are in one of the most remote corners of the planet it is truly a luxury to be able to taste the flavors of home. Zhia is the perfect right-hand man of the two owners Marco and Mara who we thank for pampering us in a special way. I don't want to forget the beautiful excursions including the one to the Pyanemo lagoon, a magical place. Getting to Agusta is not a walk in the park, the journey is long but you will be rewarded by living a unique experience in one of the still uncontaminated places on Earth. See you soon Agusta!

I traveled to this remote location in Jan 2020 and really enjoyed my stay. My flight was 12 hours late and they adjusted the schedule and met me at Sarong airport and directed me to the ferry where I traveled for 2 hours then a short ride to the resort. A great adventure underway. The food was great and menu changed daily. Crystal clear water and no mosquitoes. Enjoy

We spent five nights in July 2021 with the wonderful staff in this island paradise. The location is spectacular, the service was excellent, and sitting on the dock watching thousands of fish and sharks swim beneath us was an excellent warm up for snorkelling. When we needed to leave a day early due to a change in travel restrictions within Indonesia, Mario went out of our way to help us with every detail right up until we arrived at the airport in Sorong.

After considering many options with our enriched holiday experiences before, we decided to select Agusta Eco Resort. We did not regret anything with this place. The well organized activities from the management team before our trip to the good coordination and services served by the wholehearted team there. The food is excellent, whether it is Italian, Indonesian or on request according to individual's taste. The seafood dishes are so good, especially when it is so fresh. Vegetarian dishes are also very delicious.
The dive masters brought us to the most beautiful diving sites of Raja Ampat, where we could not find such diversified marine life in any other dive locations in the world, including Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives or Great Barrier Reef, Australia.
The staff are friendly, kindhearted, helpful, and very humble but really serviced-oriented.
There is internet at the reception or in the room but you have to pay for it. But there is an internet point, only about 100m from our cottage, where we could connect to internet with a local simcard for us to check things at home and keep friends updated.
A peaceful, so close to nature, and beautiful place like paradise! We could not expect more with such a remote place with such good services!

As the photos on the website show, the resort is located on a small island with beautiful beaches and coastline. We stayed a week in the deluxe accommodation, which was nice but in need of repair. Specifically, one of the two bathroom taps leaked from the sink onto the floor. The electrical connection near the bathroom door cut power to the hut if shutting the door with slightly too much force.
The website states there is a gym. Yet when I went to use it the steps up the gym were broken and missing and the gym floor itself was covered in cigarette butts and ashes.
The infrastructure could easily be improved with some attention.
More disappointing was that this dive resort provided me with diving equipment that failed on two occasions. Two regulators and one vest failed broke while checking the equipment before the dive. And, the dive excursions were at times disorganized.
The resort has a great deal of potential with its location. Perhaps a little more time is needed to get up and running after covid. The addition of some walking trails on the island would really elevate the experience as well.

Good morning and thanks for your report. Two years of covid and relative closure of borders have been very hard for us. We know that some things are not perfect but they are small things that we are fixing quickly and that do not affect the beauty of our island. For example, the gym is under maintenance, it will soon be accessible again. In addition, the gym is free, you did non pay for this activity. Precisely for these small gaps you received a strong 30% discount% . With regards to the regolator error, we apologized, fixed the problem and deducted the equipment rental from your bill. After these two difficult years we expected a little more understanding. Courtesy greetings

The Raja Ampat area is the scuba divers paradise. Agusta Eco Resort is designed to maximise the diving experience, while providing the utmost care and comfort to the customers.
Up to 4 dives are possible per day in different areas (one common feature: they are all equally breathtaking). Everything is perfectly organised with evening meetings, boat personnel and experienced guides.
The resort is up to the standards one may find in very high quality facilities in Europe. All is clean, functioning and equipped.
The swimming pool and the restaurant are the gems of a larger crown jewel. The first one for the view and comfort, the second one for the great Italian cuisine.
The hosts are not only competent and always available, but also nice and funny. They are open to dialogue and rely on a decade of experience in the tourism sector in Indonesia.
All in all, I would be extremely surprised to find something even comparable in the Raja Ampat area. Agusta Eco Resort made a holiday dream of mine possible and perfect.

It could be summed up with just one phrase “welcome to paradise”!!! The long journey is rewarded by the natural beauty that can be seen above and below the water. The island seems uncontaminated even if there are elegant bungalows and huts that serve as restaurants, diving and various services that fit perfectly into the local vegetation. The restaurant service and the friendliness and friendliness of the resort staff were good. The massage service is also good, which if ever needed helps you relax even more. The Internet is not always present during the day, but once you arrive in Agusta you should throw away your cell phones to fully experience the wonderful atmosphere you can breathe. It is perhaps useless to talk about underwater life, you can see everything and more, be careful not to remain speechless so as not to risk "drinking"!!!! At least once in your life you MUST live this experience which will remain unforgettable and indelible in your mind and heart!!!

Beautiful experience, excellent setting, adequate bungalow, kind and helpful staff and wonderful sea. However, all this does not justify the truly excessive cost without considering that the costs for all the extras and marine activities must be added. The first week there were too many people, around thirty people and the facility does not have adequate boats for so many people. A boat without an awning is unthinkable 10 km from the equator for excursions. Sometimes there is no help to get on the boat, the pier is difficult to navigate and very dangerous with stairs that need to be redone and a simple walkway to get on the boat without risking falling.
Sooner or later someone will get hurt.
Food that was too fried and often spicy, I didn't like it but I don't like spices.
Iorn of the diving is a 10 and praise, good, competent and attentive, excellent Jeffry who assists in snorkeling with kindness and attention to detail.
There is an excessive attachment to money, I believe that with certain costs there should also be something included or packages even for those who snorkel or halve the cost of snorkeling if you pay for the trip. The day trip cost €70 per person +€50 snorkeling per person obviously.
Raja Ampat is wonderful, priceless to find few people everywhere, I was hoping for greater attention with Italian management but the management by the top was a bit disappointing. The 2 of us gave over €4500 for 10 days to these gentlemen between stay and extras, I think they could even give them the €10 beer from the last dinner, but gentlemen are born...not made.
I would like to return to Raja Ampat but I would choose another property

The island is very beautiful, the beach in front of the rooms is beautiful, but in my opinion the rest of the island should be looked after better...unfortunately you can see all kinds of waste around...plastic, paper etc. The treatment at the resort is perfect, the cuisine is excellent, although I expected to eat fish more often. The diving is well organised, very extensive and s-operated. The diving guides are young, but all very experienced and professional. Only one sore point, as far as I'm concerned... I purchased 30 dives, with proprietary equipment. Having had a problem with my pressure gauge, I had to use one of theirs for all the dives...I think they could have avoided charging me the rent, given the long stay and the numerous dives done...I found this a lapse in style. For the rest, everything is beautiful.
