- Family home atmosphere - It is a special place for kids. Our boys enjoyed jumping on a trampoline, playing with rabbits and hens. My youngest keeps asking me to come back and play with guinea pigs again. The are adorable! The garden is big and safe. Good choice of kids DVDs and lots of information about local points of...

This was our second trip here and yet another fantastic trip. Remembered from 2010, Su and Pete made us feel very welcome again. The rustic French farmhouse feel was perfect for our imaginations and we had long conversations about French history! We particularly enjoyed Pete's evening meals and hope to stay here ago soon.

We stayed at La Vielle Ferme for one night on our way down to Ile d'Oleron. It was easy to find and we were greeted with a warm welcome. We had a lovely, large family room. Our boys went straight out to bounce on the trampoline, welcome exercise after sitting in the car. We opted for the cold meal for...

Peter and Su were amazing hosts, in a beautiful location. We planned on staying 1 night which turned into 2, because of the atmosphere and superb food. It is a truly serene setting, not far from Falaise. The first night, my family (5) asked for the dinner to save time...and received 5-star, 4-course meal better than any we've experienced in...

It is a nice place to stay and the owners are very friendly. It is clean. The only drawback we had is following the detailed directions which could be shortened. It is located roughly 15km outside of town. I would suggest they shorten their explanation of directions. It is within easy reach of many places to visit and the roads...

we stayed for just one night on a journey from Cherbourg to the south of France. We were made feel very welcome by Peter and Su and the food and accommodation were first class. In fact we reckon the evening meal was the best we had in France this trip. Keep up the good work and best wishes for the...

My Japanese wife and I had the absolute pleasure of staying a couple of days at La Vieille Ferme, hosted by Peter and Su, who made the brave decision to uproot their kids and their lives, leave England and turn a run down french farm house into a working B&B. While still a work-in-progress, I have to say they have...

Situated in a small village a few kilometers east of Falaise, La Vielle Ferme is truly delightful. A warm welcome, large, comfortable rooms and superb food in an attractive traditonal Norman farm. We'll definitely be going back!

I have had the pleasure of staying here several times recently and this place never fails to deliver. The location is charming, everything you could imagine of an old style French farmhouse. The rooms retain that character, they are rustic but fit the situation perfectly. The setting is matched perfectly by the service. It is laid back and welcoming with...

We found La Vieille Ferme on the Internet and we were encouraged by the reviews on here. We were not disappointed. The family room was great as kids had a bed each rather than a sofa bed. Room was comfortable and breakfast delicious with choices of fruit, home made yoghurt, meat, various artisan breads and coisents. Delicious. This place is...
