We took two rooms one with a king size bed and the other the family suite. Rooms fine with ensuite facilities. The views from the rear of the property are stunning and the food is not far behind! The party (four adults and two children aged 9 and 6) had two dinners and we enjoyed the food so much that...

Went without booking. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Managed to get a table in the restaurant part of the pub with a clear view of the beautiful area. The meals were well presented and really hot. Both meals were really superb. Will definitely be going again for Sunday lunch in the near future. It's a bit off the beaten...

See you again in the Autumn Queens Head. Had to re write this review as when I discovered Trip Adviser had only put 4 stars. when indeed it is most certainly 5...

Lamb kidney, bacon, black pudding in gravy as a starter. Roast beef Yorkshire pudding and vegetables with a surprisingly hot home made horse radish sauce as the main. A good tasty portion, reasonably priced, served by very helpful friendly staff, in a lovely traditional pub /restaurant. Just wish we'd had room for a sweet. Will go back to try another...

Came here in the evening in a large group. Pleasant spacious dining room, it was rather too warm that day the heating was on!! Food was pre ordered and all the meals came together. Food was delicious with veg served separately. Puddings were unusual and very tasty. I would go back just for them. One to return to next time...

This was not our first time here. Husband had the kidney to start and there were certainly a lot on the plate. I had the monkfish special which was lovely. Husband had the duck which was less spectacular. The ice creams were nice and unusual. Nice ambiance and good service. Nice fires to sit round on a chilliness.

We had our Sunday lunch here and the views from the back of the pub looking over the dale are amazing. The boys enjoyed playing on the patio area. The lunch was great also. Very generous portions and all cooked to perfection.

I was taken out for lunch as a birthday treat. Warm welcome to the lovely cosy bar. Ate in the back with the most fantastic views that never fail to impress. Decor perfect. Food amazing. Presentation and quality superb. Andrew is a 'Master Chef'. Service was fantastic. Faultless all round. Thanks again for a lovely dining experience.

This visit was a stop-off in the Dales on the way somewhere else, but is now the place to anchor our next Yorkshire visit. The front of the building is old, traditional country pub but the room in which we stayed was modern, spacious, very well decorated and equipped. We ate in the pub by a real fire that evening,...
