Shama Desert Camp is exactly as advertised. It's not the best out there but doesn't disappoint. Our entire experience was good. Check-in was seamless and reception was always responsive whenever we called. Parking is available if you're driving down. Room's look very much like in the photos. We had booked the Superior Double Room. Rooms were Cozy and comfortable. Since we visited in December, it was quite cold already and we didn't need A/C or even the fan. Food was decent. Dinner & Breakfast, both are buffets and spread is decent. Although the food wasn't kept hot properly so it was rather cold when you sit down to eat. For the price, access to the Dunes and service, it's quite good and recommnded.

We booked 2 rooms for 2 days - room was okay like other desert camps - we stayed 2 nights, but hotel didn't make up our room - evening dinner and event was good - breakfast and other food was very tasty - we booked day safari and night safari 1. Day safari We had to negotiate many times with manager to get reasonable price. But safari was only 1 hour including jeep and Carmel safari. 2. Night safari It was dedicated safari for four of us and it was good. We were happy. But also had to negotiate price with them.. - overall It is a tourist place and we understood that we need to pay little more. However overall experience related with payment with the resort was nightmare. You need to negotiate every single chargable service with management and it is very tired. They asked money for any extra service and it is very expensive. Additionally if you negotiate, you can discount ~25% or 30% easily and it made us very angry at the end. Till the last time we left hotel and arrived to other destination, manager and driver claimed extra charge for their service and we had to fight with them via phone on the middle of the road! If we are happy with their service and hospitality, we wouldn't mind but overall time we feel like they only wants money from us. Please be aware of this and book safari and other services from online or city. You will get better services with reasonable price.
