People in jaisamer are really having very good hospitality at heart and caring at every step.. my mother needed wheelchairs and I never had to ask then to provide one.. Manager Mr khan was almost there at the counter all 24 hours.. rooms are quite spacious and good air conditioning. and they have good tie up with camel ride guys and quite a memorable trip.. jeep safari deserves a special mention..a must if children are there..

Good resort, clean room, room service was excellent, food was good. Cultural evening with bonfile and light snacks added to the charm of this resort. Good reception service who provided the jeep and camel safari. The scenery at the resort and the sand dunes was too good. Hotel staff were helpful and guided us. Resort staff helped us to get warm water and food for my daughter's one year old boy. All of us enjoyed the place.

I recently had a deeply unsettling experience at a resort in Jaisalmer, which has compelled me to share my story. Our journey began with a simple request to our travel agent to book us into the Desert Valley Camp Resort. However, due to an unclear mix-up, we found ourselves booked at the Sky Desert Valley instead. The pricing difference between the two properties was stark – we had paid approximately ₹24,000 for what we believed was a stay at the Desert Valley Camp, only to discover that the Sky Desert Valley offered accommodations for as low as ₹5,000. This discrepancy was our first red flag, hinting at a possible miscommunication or mismanagement.

Refusing to accept the situation, we spent an exhausting 3.5 hours rectifying the error, negotiating with both our travel agent and the staff at the Desert Valley Camp Resort. Finally, we were granted entry, but not without a lingering sense of frustration and lost time. However, the real ordeal began during our dinner when a receptionist abruptly informed us that, according to our agent, additional payment was required. Confused and concerned, we approached the reception to clarify this sudden demand for payment.

It was here, in front of many guests, that we encountered Gulam Kazi, who introduced himself as the resort owner. The interaction that followed was nothing short of humiliating and frightening. Gulam Kazi not only demanded that we pay or check out but also threatened us with alarming statements about having '500 people who could do anything to us.' This confrontation was deeply disturbing, more so because it occurred in a public space, stripping us of our dignity and leaving us feeling vulnerable.

In an effort to seek resolution, we managed to contact the actual owner(Mr. Asgar) of the resort, who was based in Kyrgyzstan. While he offered an apology for our ordeal, it was disheartening to see no immediate action taken against Mr. Kazi for his unacceptable conduct. His behavior was not only unprofessional but also contradicted the very essence of hospitality and guest treatment.

Three days have passed since this incident, yet the humiliation and fear we experienced still linger. The threat and intimidation we faced, particularly being so far from our hometown, were completely uncalled for and have marred our view of what was supposed to be a pleasant stay. It's crucial for such grievances to be addressed, not just for our sake but for future guests who deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism.

The resort can contact me @ kaushik.vikrnat@gmail.com if need more info about it.

Went for food and cultural dance after our camel ride. Camel ride was only 20 minutes including picture taking, for which the guide asked for an even higher tip after giving him 500 rupees. Food is ready at 9 (not 7 as they tell you). Ask 15.000 rupees per persoon for food and for the show. Tourist trap.

I travelled to Jaisalmer in month of December’23 from 20th. It was just me and my 11 year son, & being travelling with kid alone Safety, Security & Comfort is always my priority. I contacted many of the properties for our desert stay in Sam Sandunes but none has convinced & answer my query/doubt the way it’s done by Dr. Ashgar from Desert Valley resort. He very patiently cleared all my doubts like the avability of hot water 24x7, Room Heater and most importantly insects like lizard (I am very scared of and can’t stay in room of single lizard too), he ensured there will not any single insects in any room which was very correct. Everything he promised I got much better facilities than that.
Now as far the our room is concerned I book Comfort Stay Room and it was worth each penny (which was 6.5k/per night) Room was very neat & tidy along with huge clean washroom (that too no lizard 🙂) with all the amenities more than expected just like any 5 star resort..
The complete property was so well maintained and lit after visiting I felt I could have booked for more days as one night is not enough to be in such an amazing property and place.
And the best part is their big Pool, which feels like ocean in desert. It has very clean water which me and my son enjoyed sitting around for hours but due to peak winter time can’t dare to get into it, but it’s very very clean to take a deep.
Last but not least their Food it was so to wow and yummy with extravagant varieties all the time. From high tea spread till morning breakfast the delicacies were unlimited and delicious and cherry on top the performances of artists & cultural programs were so beautifully organised in Desert Valley Resort.
Me & my son felt like we could have booked for more days. Minimum 3 nights is must to stay in this property maximum as per your convenience you will not get single moment of boredom.
They have very elegant staff, safe and secure property for solo and single mothers too, as property is well managed by owners and their family members only.
It will definitely give to feel like you’re staying in an 5 star property.
I’m highly recommending Desert Valley Resort at sam sandunes, Jaisalmer.
