One of the most popular tourist attractions of Jaisalmer, Sam Sand Dunes is a must- visit in the Rajasthan state. If you visit the ‘Golden City’, then it is a must that enjoy a Desert Safari because if you do not explore the vast Thar on a camel’s back, you really miss all the fun. Visiting the Sam S and Dunes is the highlight of Jaisalmer tour. All in all the place acquires something of a carniva

If you are looking for a camel and jeep safari with tent stay and cultural program with meals and pickup/ drop included from Jaisalmer, look no further than Bhati. Their costs are reasonable and their accommodations are at par with other better advertised camps. Ask for tailor made packages for other packages activities off the beaten track.

Details: This was our first visit to Sam and we were not very keen as we’d already done a very personalized and immersive desert stay elsewhere. So, we ended up checking out various options and decided on Bhati based on their prices and reviews. We were not disappointed. We were picked up at our hotel in Jaisalmer city and dropped back the next day after a stop at Kuldhara village. Our package included a night stay with tea, evening snacks, cultural program, dinner and breakfast.

Pros: In spite of discussing only on phone and (skeptically) making an advance payment online, we were picked up and dropped right on time. The folks at Bhati were friendly and knowledgeable, and the only thing we wished was different was if they had some other easily accessible packages other than the usual touristy stuff (camel ride and dune bashing). The folks do such stuff, but tailormade only.

Cons: Personally, the songs and jokes during the cultural program were too corny for us. Also the free camel ride lasted 15 mins only, with the guide pestering us for 300 rs for tips (camel rides start from around 50 so this was absurd) and insisting on paragliding and other activities, though this has nothing to do with the Bhati camp management.

Advice to management: please offer some packages to cater to other kinds of folks rather than the camel ride and jeep safari. We wish we were given other non touristy options like wildlife watching or staying the night in the desert instead of the usual stuff everyone gets offered.
Until the next time! Thanks!! 🙏

We were doing Rajasthan trip and had booked the package through MakeMyTrip but unfortunately the Camp they had booked in Jaisalmer was under construction so our Cab driver Kan Singh took us to Bhati Desert Camp Sam at late night 10.30pm. I would really tell their hospitality was great. They served dinner even in that late night and then made sure we get whatever we requested which included snacks before their time or early morning Jeep ride. All the staff people were of great help and polite. Hari Singh helped us in Jeep ride and Camel ride by coming early morning. Jaswan Singh talked to us very patiently and made sure we get everything. He was talking English so fluently as well. I will surely recommend this Camp for basic dessert stay in Jaisalmer. Thank you for the complete Staff and my Cab driver Kan Singh.

Are you a foreigner? Stay away from this place, they'll charge 4-5 times the rate for anything.

Got charged 4 times the price they gave locals, also their price vary wildly from site to site. Some charging 20k INR per night while local sites costing only 2k, this depending if a foreign hotel search engine or local one. Just a money grab and completely let down for these prices. Good for a 3k INR per night including activities? Yes. For 4-5 times the price they charge foreigners even when confronted? NO.

Getting overcharged 5500 INR when the price given to locals is 800-1500 INR for a shared ride for 1 hour jeep ride (back and forth) and 15min camel ride. Be aware the room and camel ride were paid and disbursed to them by the tour agency which were notified about this.

The guy running the show Hathee Singh is the one responsible for this. Promised it was going to be 3 deserts and a whole nice experience but way way below expectations moreover finding out what other guests from the same hotel paid and having a HORRIBLE experience for the price paid.

I seldom leave bad reviews, but these guys truly deserve it.

Attaching the only nice memory I'll be taking hone.

We were on our trip to Rajasthan, this was the worst camp we have ever stayed. We stayed at the camp on 12th Feb night. Rooms and bathroom were dirty and unhygienic.

Food was tasteless with very few options available. It is better to go out and have meals in the nearby restaurant.

Cultural event organised in the evening had nothing much, few local singers with one dancer was performing.

We were charged INR 3500 for jeep safari which is way too hight for just 30 minutes ride.

This camp doesn't meet the hygiene standards and fails to provide basic facilities. Not recommended for stay.

1. Tents are not as expected or as per the amount paid (We have paid 5500/- as couples)
2. They usually transferred to there other tied up camps during peak seasons. Those are not good.
3. Better to avoid this camp. There are much better camps at this price in the near by places.
4. Camel ride was for < 10 mins where as initially they told it would be for 30 mins.
5. Breakfast and dinner (as buffet) was Very limited and it has only veg items.
6. Cultural show (folk dance ) arranged by them was quite boaring and very difficult to pass time.
