Rapaura is a great place to go to enjoy some tranquillity among the gardens and to enjoy a lovely lunch or morning or afternoon tea. We go often and have enjoyed everytime we go. Try it. Hopefully you'll enjoy it too.

It's not very often you get to feel like the Governor General of some far flung colonial outpost but for three nights my wife and I did just that! The "Lodge" at Rapaura Water Gardens is without doubt the most unusual B & B we have ever stayed in, the house when built was obviously finished to a very high...

Spent two hours here in a beautiful lush valley and waterfall sights. A lovely stop in typical NZ bush. Wear good walking shoes. Super cafe, really delicious coffee. Recommend the scrambled eggs with seared salmon.

My husband and I stayed overnight in the Cottage at Rapaura Watergardens and the peace and quiet was just what we needed. The cottage is set up with all the facilities you would need and breakfast is supplied so all we had to do was bring dinner (or you can buy at extra cost). There are lots of books and...

We have been to a number of gardens here in New Zealand as well as overseas. This would rate as good or better than any we have been to. Beautifully landscaped without being overdone. Easy walks and fantastic natural scenery. Great lunch and great hosts. Well worth the effort.

We stayed at the Rapaura Water gardens for two nights. We were two families with two young children. There's only one shower although two toilets. The accommodation is tastefully furnished. Sally lived in HK for 40 years before moving to NZ and there are touches of her well travelled life. Beautiful gardens with 5 water lily ponds. Yes, we saw...

We visited Rapaura water gardens today. We drove down from Coromandel town via Tapu. The garden was very peaceful and tranquil. It is beautifully landscaped in natural surrounding. The highlight was the water cascade. We then made the mistake of driving on to Coroglen on route to Pauanui. The road was not surfaced and in bad weather is unsafe. It...

The location was peaceful and in a beautiful garden. The cottage was very well equipped and the owners were really helpful, even baking us a loaf of bread! Very good value for money. If you plan to start or end your visit to New Zealand here then stay at least 2 nights - it's a beautiful place to rest. It's...

Located just off the beaten track is Ruparau Water Gardens. We stopped in for the walk round. And it was just stunning! This garden has been sculpted and integrated within the natural landscape and you can just see and feel all the hard work and love that's gone into making and maintaining these grounds. It is worth the small trek...
