This is an old property thats quite famous around Thiruvalla and Changanassery owing to a lot of wedding/reception events happening here. Being from a place closer to the locality have heard a lot of good things about this place from our school days many years back and we were curious as to how the property actually is, if staying as a guest.
We booked this place expecting this to be a decent resort property on our route to Trivandrum. The room and the premises were clean and looked well maintained. But despite the layout of the property being like a resort, our stay experience felt more like a standard downtown business hotel as there were not many activities one could do to unwind at this property, which is typically expected from a resort. The pool and children's park were closed and not available to guests during our stay which was a disappoinment. We are not sure why, but this could have been due to an event that was happening at the hotel and they probably prioritized the wedding/group booking, which is a bit unfair to guests with individual bookings.
Another factor we observed is that the property appears to be short staffed to be able to cater to individual guest bookings when there is an event/group booking such as weddings.
From our understanding, this has more to do with the hotel being short staffed to handle a large number and type of guests than the quality of service. The staff appeared to be polite and courteous when we got the opportunity to interact with them.
Unlike some hotels, the food here was surprisingly good and very reasonably priced for the type of property. We really enjoyed our dinner here.
Breakfast is not a buffet but a la carte with limited options, but nothing to complain here as the food was good.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this property and would consider visiting again if we have to make a stop around changanassery. We hope, facilities like the pool and park would be open to guests then.

Great place to stay, clean and spacious rooms. The location is a bit outside central Kerala area, and there’s not much of a view or city access to shopping (like Tiruvalla or Kottayam). But if you want great rooms with clean bathrooms, this is the best out of several hotels in central Kerala. The restaurant is also great, with excellent breakfast and dining options. The food is really good! All the staff in both the hotel and restaurant were friendly and courteous. Just a note: They advertise a massage parlor opposite the hotel. The massage is okay, but the towels are stale and old, and their bathroom is one of the worst I’ve ever been to. Except for one of the massage ladies who was nice, there were a few others who were totally rude and unprofessional. They didn’t help, and they just sat on the floor talking and ignoring me as I tried to take a quick shower in that horrible bathroom. It was one of the worst experiences ever. I still shudder at how miserable the whole experience was! That has no bearing on the hotel, but I just wanted to caution people who considered going to the massage parlor.

Stayed just for a day so the time didn't do justice so as to give an in depth review of the stag but you can make of it as you will. The room is really neat and nice although I did find a couple of leaks from the toilet roof which was unheard of. The service was great and the convention all was really spacious.

As part of a wedding in the family , we decided to stay in contour on the night before the wedding. Out of the 3 rooms 2 rooms were handed at the point of check in. 2nd room toilet didn't work and subsequently maintainace team spend till 10 pm fixing it. Staff in between fought and resulted in the guest being called to settle the issues with the supervisor. tea / coffee ordered in the morning came after 30 min - lack of staff resulted in the reception staff to bring the coffee to the room after repeated calls. Finally family being disappointed focussed on the wedding at the convention centre which again was a list of problems unexpected. On check out the bill was provided with false charges which was removed. Overall a bad experience could still have been overcomed by the service. The manager was arrogant complaining we had forced to stay before hotel was ready and with the staff later coming to the room to state their limitations based on management support.

My sister's wedding was at the Green Court auditorium at Contour resorts. Complete lack of transparency and clarity in communication is a hallmark of the management and staff at Contour. I had booked the venue 3 months in advance to the wedding date yet there was no written communication on what is included and what is not. We were told by a staff member that chairs would not be available as part of the auditorium and we find out the day before the wedding after hiring chairs from another vendor that the chairs were available. We incurred additional costs for the chairs, the labor charge of removing the Contor chairs and the last minute aggravation. The auditorium was added the air-conditioning facility recently. The cooling could be felt only when the last guests were leaving (!!) after being at the venue for 3 1/2 hours. Not sure what kind of power back-up is available - there were frequent powercuts. At all times the response was - we had already told you this or you didn't ask about this - the proactiveness by email or with a document on all elements that could impact the customer was never available. This is the 2nd negative experience with Contour - my brother's wedding took place at the same venue in 2013 with the Contour management getting into a conflict with the caterer we hired on the cooking methodology !!! The GM at various engagement instances either accused us of lying or insulted us with patronizing language. The location is pretty good with nice parking. It's a shame the service is a let-down. Mind-numbing incompetence sums it up.

Contour's main attraction is that it has a few large air conditioned halls which r the only once of its kind in this part of the state. Along with that ample car parking and location enroute Alappuzha-Changancherry road makes it popular for wedding receptions and Rotary club conventions. The conventions and weddings make the place busy but affects rather adversely the rooms service, restaurant service etc. there r a few restaurants but the food quality is erratic. If it is your lucky day u will be served promptly and good food which unfortunately doesn't occur very often. The rooms are okay but expensive considering the quality and service. The hotel serves liquor. There is no pool.

Had a small ceremony here for 200 people on September 2. Not so spacious hall, but everything else was good. Air conditioned rooms, great ambience and tranquil surroundings. Plenty of parking space as well.

This is one of the most luxurious resorts around Alleppey, Kumarakon. Most ideally suited for family a vacation, the cost may be on a little higher side, but it's totally worth it. There are suites and cottage. We stayed in the cottage and it was wonderful. The cottage was spotlessly clean and so were the toilets. The cottages have the most modern amenities, automatic sensor keys, coffee maker, a very cozy bed, a balcony/sit out by the room , bathroom with glass walled partitions , satellite TV, wi-fi with amazing speed .... well I could add many more to the list. The facilities are nothing short of any luxurious accommodation you would've stayed abroad. There is also a multi-cuisine restaurant attached where you get authentic local cuisine along with other dishes at a very reasonable price. I needn't say about the parking space available, there is ample of space for parking your vehicle. To top it all, the Aleppey backwaters and beach are within an hours drive from the resort. You needn't think twice before booking this resort! 😊👌

We stayed at the resort for the marriage of our nephew which was conducted in the auditorium of the resort. The resort is in a lovely location and the environment is really refreshing. A typical Kerala backwater layout with spacious parking and other facilities. The rooms are well maintained, clean and comfortable. The cuisine was also really mouth watering. We had a very large gathering of friends and family staying there and we were a bit worried about the service they could provide but what surprised us was the quality of service. The GM himself was overseeing that everything went well. Even the marriage feast was very well managed. We dont remember receiving any complaints from any of our large gathering of friends and family.
