We had been planning to look for accommodation in nearby Wanaka, but happened to notice this motel and its wonderful location on our way there. We explored further and discovered its magnificent views over the lake, and booked in without hesitation. Loved our time there, looking out over the lake from our very comfortable room. We were well looked after by...

Had a little mix up with the dates we booked, Andrew went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure we had a lovely evening. A level of service rarely encountered when mistakes are made by the guest. I would highly recommend stopping by!

The view alone is worth staying but it is also a very nice hotel/motel. Comfy beds, great bathroom, spacious. Nice bar too for a drink. Didnt eat here. Nice little drive to Wanaka, Mt Iron etc. Oh and did i mention that view of the lake and surrounding mountains.

We booked the 4 bed guest room quite last minute. Made a mistake on the date when booking online. Upon calling, the reception staff is helpful and reserve the room for us for that night. Overall the service of the hotel is commendable. However, the guest room is old and not well maintained. The fridge is not working. At night,...

We stayed a night in Lake Hawea Hostel. The hotel/hostel is right on Lake Hawea and what a breath taking view it was! The room was small but perfect for the 2 of us. Very comfy bed and we had our own sink to brush our teeth. Fully equipped kitchen and lovely friendly staff.

We weren't able to get booked in here for accommodation but managed to have a meal here. We had a lovely view of the lake and the fire inside was roaring away which was very nice indeed. Our meals were pleasant enough, I had the fish of the day which was John Dory and my partner had the steak. I...

Stayed across the road from the Lake Hawea Hotel in a holiday house with mine plus another family. On the last evening we thought we would venture across the road to the Lake Hawea Hotel for dinner as a treat.... WOW! It was beautiful, it ticks all the boxes... Decor, ambience, friendliness, cost and what a view. If we had...

A very pleasant stay with wonderful lake and snow capped mountain views. The Hotel has a restaurant with open fires creating a cosy atmosphere. We had crab and fish linguine and John Dory which were delicious. However the dessert was disappointing as it was advertised as trio of chocolate but we were informed they had run out of chocolate mousse...

We loved our stay. We had a newly renovated family room that had everything we needed. beds were very comfortable. The stunning views from our balcony, over the lake were a highlight. Enjoyed our wine and cheese every day from here. Chose to base ourselves here for our visit to the Wanaka area including Cardrona ski field. Only a short...

Always wanted to go here. Lived up and exceeded my expectations. Just had a light lunch and enjoyed the view. Then after riding from Wanaka I decided to ask for the possibility of the courtesy bus driving me back. They don't operate during the day but when I said I was 6 months pregnant, the duty manager used his own...
