The Rose of York is a friendly, well located place. There's plenty of room to move around both in and out. Great range of food and drink. Rooms well kept and comfy. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. It's close to town and good transport links. Hope to visit again soon.

Me and my partner have been going to this pub a few times now and has become local of choice. We were impressed by the lovely location next to the river and the nice peaceful environment. The drinks are of top quality and the class too. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. The food we had was top absolutely...

I can only assume the chef hates people, hates food and hates his job. The place was empty yet we received the most lack lustre service and dreadful meal. I honestly can't remember when I last had a meal that was quite so substandard. The owners need to review their staff's attitude.

We ate here as part of a big family group for a celebration. The interior is a bit dated and needs a refresh. As it was Sunday we all had the carvery, it wasn't all bad but it certainly wasn't all good. The meat was excellent, the turkey and the gammon were cooked well and were very tasty. But the...

On arrival, late on a Friday night, were welcomed and shown to our room (family room). We were just in time for food which was great since we were too exhausted to trek back into Richmond. Our two children were very tired so it was nice that the food came out quickly. Our room was spacious, clean and the beds...

Hotel is beautifully located, and looks lovely from outside, plenty of parking, but somehow, it does not quite get it right. You have to go outside up a staircase which is a bit slippery to get to the rooms. Our room looked fine, but something quite strange these days, there was no television. We assumed that there would be a...

We had two rooms booked to show visiting family the area. The hotel rooms were fine and value for money. The meal in the pub was great and excellent value. When we arrived back that night however the door to our corridor was locked meaning the three of us plus another group were stuck locked out at midnight in the...

Plus points: • Great location – within minutes of the river and tow paths walk to Richmond/Ham House. Richmond Park is about 10-15 mins walk and the shops and views of Richmond Hill about 5-10 minutes. Well placed for 65 bus route between Kingston and Ealing which travels via Richmond. • Free car parking. • River views and looks over...
