Take a black cab: they stack up opposite the exit to the tube station: it is only a short distance (1 mile?), but if you have baggage then it could be a trial walking up the high street (hill)!

It's 2 to 3 miles, so - yes - you can walk it, but it would probably be along busy roads

It's a lovely welcoming hotel, with lots of parking. I haven't walked to Twickenham but others obviously have!
