Eat here, drink here, do not sleep here. £65 a night. The room was extremely small, bit dirty, thin pillows, but warm. All of this is irrelevant. Because I couldn't sleep. Pounding music came up from the ground floor intermittently every couple minutes. I paid for a getaway. I paid to relax in the country side. I didn't want to be up with earplugs in, fostering a belly ache from being upset at sleep deprivation. Don't try to sleep here, you won't.
This is a lovely place to stop for Sunday lunch. The Sunday lunch was delicious with a lovely selection of veg! Great portion size. Our waiter Craig was brilliant, we had a couple of requests and these were met with ease. Craig was attentive and displayed great customer service. There was a friendly casual atmosphere and a lovely view from the dining area. Highly recommend!
Stayed here for 4 nights. Location was excellent for exploring the local area. Room was comfortable and clean, if a little dated. Staff were very pleasant although always very busy as there wasn't many of them. The food was excellent, generous portion sizes, reasonably priced and served very promptly. Happy to recommend
Visited for one night only and found the hotel to be fabulous!!! Wonderful room overlooking the car park and river. Four poster bed and an amazing bathroom. Evening meal was great and a massive breakfast with a pot of coffee. Staff were all pleasant , very friendly and accommodating. Ample car park and a great place to use as a base if touring the area. Highly recommended!!
The hotel was clean, nice staff and in a beautiful location. The food and drink reasonably priced. However the room had an issue with running water(or lack of it) we stayed four nights and our shower had hardly any water coming from it and the sink had no cold water whatsoever, on leaving we mentioned it, only to be told ' We know' . Having now read reviews on another site, this is a common complaint, but when we stayed the hotel was very quiet so why put us in a room that has this problem?
had a great weekend at this hotel, used as a base to explore Snowdonia are areas, rooms comfortable and clean, the curry's on the menu was enjoyable, welsh breakfast plentiful, if visiting the area again - we would stay again
Beautiful clean and warm hotel in an excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good prices on drinks and food. Delicious filling breakfast. Surprisingly Large and comfy room with nice modern bathroom and great shower. Dog friendly.
This hotel has the potential to be really good. Lovely greeting on arrival. We had room 10. Very large room, high ceilings, cast iron grate in chimney breast. Full length mirror hung over fire place, super king 4 poster bed. Large bathroom with walk in shower and electric towel rail. First impressions good. Then we noticed how cold the room was (it was zero outside) and not much warmer in the room. Radiator was Luke warm as was the hot water. Had dinner in the bar area, limited choice but what we had was nice. Staff and service excellent. Only problem had to leave coats on as heating not on. Room still cold when we went to bed until we spotted the oil radiator tucked in the corner. Had to leave on day and night for the duration of our stay. Breakfast was excellent each day. On opening the curtains in the morning amazing view over the river and up to the Forrest. Shame the windows hadn’t been cleaned for ages and the cracked pane not replaced. Such a shame imposing hotel in an ideal location. Only place in Llanwrst serving meals at night, only one of two hotels in the town. It should have been buzzing. It just needs a face lift and better leadership. Good value for money? Not really, probably yes if they would have turned the heating on. Oh forgot to say, lovely big bed but unfortunately not the most comfy seeing as the mattress was only about 4inches thick (10 centimetres) and was resting on wooden slats. My rating would be 5.5/10…
My two sons and I had a reservation last Saturday 9th Jan having been to Zip World in the afternoon. Everything was first class from the moment we entered The Eagles Hotel. The room was lovely, the evening meal was excellent and the breakfast in the morning was first class too. All the staff were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Joland the young man who I made the booking with was so polite and helpful, Can't compliment this place enough. The lady on the bar who served us in the evening for food and drinks was very nice and the chef came out of the kitchen at the end of breakfast to have a little chat. The whole feel of the place was brilliant and I intend to return later in the year with my wife.
It is a warm and welcoming place where everyone there worked hard to please us, always with a wide smile and a friendly attitude. The hotel is very pleasant and well located to move around the area, near by a waterfall and the Snowdonian park. The terrace is very enjoyable to sit. Beds are big and very comfortable and it is quiet at night. The cleanliness is also very good. We enjoyed of a high quality (and well deserved) rest. Breakfast was the ice of the cake. There was variety and it was tasty, especially the bacon! Thank you all for being so helpful, and thank you Sunny for your outstanding customer skills, see you next time!
