I live in Brighton but spent many years in Aberdeen and am back for a week's holiday and was so looking forward to having lunch at Tor-na-Coille. Took my miniature dachshund for a lovely woodland walk at Crathes and then on to Banchory. There are tables and chairs outside the Tor-na-Coille so I assumed that if they wouldn't allow my...

Located 15 miles from Aberdeen city centre the hotel has a prominent position just on the outskirts og Bandhory. The rooms are well furnished and very very clean. The linen is high quality . The food was fantastic with a good selection of local produce. The breakfast was cooked to order so came fresh. Good selection of cereal and fruit....

Stayed in one of the larger suite rooms which was well appointed , clean and had good bathroom facilities . If you are booking a room with 'garden view' be aware that the hotel grounds are fairly limited in size and views are not really scenic as this hotel is located within Banchory rather than out on its own ....

Booked this for a date night with husband. We've been in a lot of these type of hotels. Pros: nice staff, good clean room, good food. Cons: fantastic dinner let down by bland puddings and tired cheese board which took a long time to arrive on a not very busy evening. tiny TV in room, weak shower. Small bath towels....

We needed a room in Banchory to let us attend a family party so booked here on line hoping for a good nights sleep. It's so much better than the price reflects. Friendly & helpful service at every point. Will return as soon as we can.

Stayed two nights which included a function for 44 people on the second night. Everything was handled superbly by Philip, the hotel Manager and his friendly staff, who made sure the weekend ran smoothly. The rooms were lovely, well appointed and clean. The breakfasts offered a vast choice and the function dinner was excellent. Philip went out of his way...
