Such a disappointment! The view is amazing, the interior lovely, huge amount of staff but such a let down with the food for afternoon tea! We had booked well in advance so it was not as if it was a surprise to the chef! Sandwiches were amazing-fresh and delicious! The scones were massive and warm on arrival but very heavy...

Went with work friends for afternoon tea. The sandwiches were fabulous but the rest not!! Scones ok but the so called buns etc absolutely rubbish! Consisted of squares of cake and what the staff called quenelles of ?? Caramel flavoured mush and also fudge!! The array of sweet buns that are available these days are many and varied but I...

Dined here for lunch recently with my accountant; not for the first time I have to say so that must mean we liked it the last time ; ) Great location overlooking the harbour in Bangor. Easy access and parking and plenty of space inside. We both had the fish and chips which were pretty good. I wouldn't say exceptional...

I had a lovely Sunday roast in the Salty Dog a couple of weeks ago. Great atmosphere. Service is always very good. Food is good value Great views from the restaurants. I do not have a dog but there are tables in the back where you can bring a dog.

Had lunch here recently courtesy of a Living Social voucher and I have to say my husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our visit - actually the most successful meal we have had so far through this scheme. It is quite a small hotel and as such, has a nice homely welcoming ambience. Large impersonal restaurants/hotels really don't appeal to us....

Stayed her one night with friends and also had dinner and breakfast and was not disappointed at all. I wasn't expecting much from the rooms, and whilst they weren't big they were really nicely finished, warm & homely , great bathroom and lots of little additions including a jar of wonderful cookies which were gorgeous. The dinner was lovely with...

Visited here on a Saturday night and was asked if I had a Living Social voucher which for those of you who don't know is one of those websites that give you a discount voucher for restaurants, services etc. I regretted not having one tbh, as it turned out it wasn't exactly a budget friendly option to eat here. I...

I have dined at this restautant a few times - sometimes the food is good whilst on other occasions it is below par. I was part of a large group on Saturday evening. The chips were undercooked, the batter used on the onions for the burgers was a sweet cinnamon mix rather than savoury (this was done in error and...
